Card #2 of Marie’s new catty swap

Published by under Cards,Christmas

Here is card #2 for Marie Kirkwood’s new catty swap.  I used the stamp set Snow Swirled in french "Folies de flocons".  My favorite new in-color BAJA BREEZE cardstock.  I used versamark to stamp the snowflakes and I used baja breeze classic ink to stamp the greetings. Accessories:  5/8 striped grosgrain ribbon in baja breeze, the wide oval punch to punch out "de joyeuses fêtes" and My big shot with the Top Note Bigz Die which will be available to buy starting October 1st.  Love this card, I was inspired by demonstrator Kimberly Van Diepen who created a similar card using the Kraft cardstock. I just love the monochromatic look.

My 12 cards, here you go Marie!  Can’t wait to receive my new samples.

Card #1 of Marie’s New Catty Swap

Published by under Cards,Christmas

Sorry for not posting in such a long time.  I have been busy creating…. Creating so many projects with the new supplies from the fall-winter catalogue.  Marie Kirkwood was hosting a new catty swap.  Here is the first card that I created.  I really like the outcome.  The stamp set:  Grand Soirée on p.126.  I embossed with black emboss powder.  I used Basic black and whisper white cardstock.  Accessories:  1/4" grosgrain ribbon which I treaded by using a hobby blade and my favorite new tool the Big shot with the Top Note Bigz Die, love it….  I also used the large Oval punch to punch out ‘Ain’t life Grand’.  I have to say that I bought this set because of my upline "grand-ma"Marlayne Hardy.  She showcased this set at convention in Utah and I fell in love with it.  For me, it is so versatile.  I plan on using this stamp set for Halloween, weddings, My new year’s party….

I folded the whisper white cardstock in half  and passed it through the big shot.  It created a different way to open my card and I was able to emboss on the inside ‘ A little Soirée is coming your way!’  This set is also available in french.

Here are my 12 cards.  Voilà!
