Holiday Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek

Humm!  In the mood for a little teasing today!  I have been playing with my holiday mini catalog preorder.  This mini catalog becomes live for non-demonstrators on September 1st.  I do have a workshop tomorrow and we will be doing Christmas stuff.  Yes Christmas cards, pages in August.  So it put me in the mood to play with the Holiday Mini products.  I Love the new Christmas Collage Background stamp.  If you love making cards, background stamps are the basic of a great card.  I often use my background stamps that is why I keep them at reach.

Today's card is very simple:  I embossed gold embossing powder on the brush gold cardstock.  Don't forget to pass the embossing buddy on your cardstock to eliminate static and prevent little blotches of embossing powder in places you don't want.  I also used Bells & Boughs stamp set to add a greeting to the background stamp.  It was easy to place it in the square spacing because I used the clear set.

Waffle Paper is a must on your wish list,  it is so easy to play with.  I added sticky tape on the back and was able to position it like I wanted.

Then a little 2-way glue and added the Champagne glass glitter that Shelli gave us at convention.

Voila, so simple!  You can create a series of these alternating your colors:  cherry cobbler, very vanilla and brush gold cardstock.

Order your supplies starting September 1st  24/7 on line, if you are a demonstrator, you know you can order anything in the mini since August 1st.  Have you done your order?

Sneak Peek of my 2nd Annual Riverfrontstampin’Retreat

Well, there is exactly one week left before my 2nd Annual Riverfrontstampin'Retreat.  Are you excited??  I sure am.  I am so excited that I couldn't contain myself and had to give you a little sneak peek of what's coming.

I always use a different technique to cover my album and always use Stampinup's linen album because you can decorate them in so many ways.  This year I used the Mostly Vintage Stencil but added a little twist to my stencil technique.  I added stencil paste to my album.  And voila, it turned out great.

It rained here in Eastern Ontario, but the sun is just starting to shine, so I took advantage and went at the end of our dock to get a picture.  Nothing like natural daylight for a great picture!

Here is a close up of my album.  So there you go, you get a preview of technique #1 .  Can't wait to see you all, next week & you will get to see & create the next 23 techniques.  For those of you who got the technique album to go, I am almost done.  See you soon!

Scrapbooking memories for Father’s Day

My Father's Day Page

Memories of my husband & my daughter Jordan, Old Orchard USA.  I took this picture while they where spinning in this big giant bear ride.

Well let me tell you I found a new addiction! Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It's in the new Summer Mini Catalogue.  This vintage Designer Series Paper has different glossy designs that can be magically revealed using 1) Smooch Spritz 2) Aqua Painter 3) Brayer or 4) Sponge and ink.  I love love love it… As much as my stencils which I use a lot!  The brown specs are smooch spritz in log cabin.  I recommend using the color catcher so you don't have smooch everywhere.

My close up reveals a light impression of colors because I used a sponge.  If you want a bolder look, then I would suggest a brayer.  If you notice on the right side of my picture, I also stamped Sense of time stamp set over my sponged image to create texture.

If you are coming to one of my clubs or Melissa's party on Monday you get to make one of these!

Then I added On Board Cog in chipboard.  And added some chocolate chip ink to it. I used chocolate chip instead of early espresso because my new catty order will only make it in Canada monday!

By the way, have you noticed something different from this page?

Stampinup! sent us some samplers of cardstock from the new 2010-2011 catalogue.  A wonderful perk from being a demonstrator.  I used cherry cobbler and early espresso.

Specialty Designer Series Paper #117175

Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin # 119921

Color Catcher # 121093

Cog # 117237

Sense of Time # 113804

Brayer # 102395

Sponge # 101610

And the new colors will be available to you July 1st unless you join today, then you get to preorder new 2010-2011 products this month!

Day 1 incentive cruise

Let the journey begin!  We sailed with Royal Caribbean, Adventures of the sea.  It was our first cruise ever, what an experience!  We left from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

On departure, Stampin’up! hosted a sailaway party called the big Hello!  We had cool cocktail glasses that flashed.  My kids loved those when we got home.  When I got to the party, I admit, I was a little shy.  It was my first cruise. But like any other stampin’up event, I was greated by the most kind demonstrators who welcomed me on my first cruise.  You see, when you go to convention or you earn the cruise for the first time, stampin up gives you a pin.  So I was easily welcomed because my pin said first time cruise achiever.

I was also very happy to be greated by Sara.  It was the second time we met.  She came with Shelli to my workshop of a lifetime and I was so happy to see a familiar face!  She made me feel at home and my butterflies went away!

Every evening for dinner, we had a customized menu created by Stampin’up!  You may think  I am silly, but every evening, I would ask the waiter if I could take my menu?  I just love to scrapbook and I wanted to include this in my scrapbooking album.  Scrapbooking is to preserve those precious memories! Right!?

here is another pillow gift.  Can you guess what is inside?

Supplies for the make and take session on the cruise which was from midnight to 2am.  I received supplies from the summer mini and a new stamp set that will be in the 2010-2011 idea book catalogue! I will be sharing the make and takes a little later! Next:  projects from general session!

By the way, my SAM gave me a challenge today and you all know by now that I love challenges:  Help me out!  I need to book 6 parties-workshops between June 1st and June 15th!  Email me to set up your date!
