Puppy Love

Last night I hosted in my studio the canvas class that I had created for our guests at our Creative Escape Weekend Retreat.  What I love about classes in my studio, is that I am able to let my guests change the color of card stock, stamp… Here is one canvas from one of my guests Lynn Berthiaume Groulx.  She did a fabulous job, who would have thought Early Espresso and Certainly Celeri, just love it!!!  She dedicated her canvas to her two babies Roxy and Willow!  They are so precious!

Although Lynn is an excellent scrapbooker, joining one of my classes to create a canvas doesn't mean you need to be a scrapbooker or card maker.  I also love to make home decor projects.  You should join me for my next home decor class in May!

This butterfly die was used more than enough during our creative escape weekend.  I am sure we have attendees that have added it to their wish list!

Beautiful Butterflies Stampin' Up! Bigz Die
#114507  Price: $29.95

I am leaving you today with a few pics of Jordan.  She doesn't like sleeping in her bed since the wind from the River makes a "funny noise" on her window.  She says it scares her.  I know I know I shouldn't endure her excuses.  This past week, I have been busy in the studio, getting ready for our retreat.  Jordan placed two mats on the floor and in two minutes she feel asleep with Maya.  It was a quick way for her to fall asleep.  Now she wants to do this all the time.  Here is a pick from last night.  I do bring her back in her bed and she says she enjoys staying extra minutes with me while her big sisters are already sleeping!  I have to brake this bad habit, I know:)  The joys of parenting!

Have a great day:)

Hostess gift #1

Published by under 3D,scrapbooking,Stampin' Up!,workshop

I'm sending some Springtime smiles! It's gorgeous outside, I am so ready for Spring!  Here is a cute project for my hostesses in April.  The best part is that you don't know what's in this adorable box!  I have made a few projects with the new Paisley Petals designer paper and Four Frames stamp set.  If you book a party with me in April, you get to pick out of my baskets one of the numerous projects I have created with the new 2011-2012 sneak peek products.  I have made a few projects and will show you all of them in the next couples of days.  Book your party first and you have first choice.  I am taking calls and emails.  Can't wait to book yours!

By the way, I did go to Zumba class yesterday with my friend Veronique.  It was fun and I have so much energy today.  I am now thinking of heading outside for my first run of the season.  I use to do 6k daily.  Wish me luck!

Stamping vs Gym

Monday is the day I play in my studio all day:)  I had promised myself that I would focus again on clean eating and exercising.  After all, when I go for a run, that is where I do my best thinking.  BUT it's snowing here and very wet so I decided to head for the studio and create all day:)  + it didn't help that I ran out of batteries for my camera and headed for the corner store and then Nibs candy were calling me. So I went back home and played some more.  I decided to make myself a journal so I can track my exercising and eating habits.  + I created lots more projects with the new paper Paisley petals and Four frames stamp set from the 2011-2012 collection.  It was awesome, I did create a mess on my counter but it was a good decision to pick creating vs the gym.   I will probably go for my run this evening or even go to a Zumba class as my friend Veronique has been trying to get me there for months!

It is so not me to choose green as a journal.  The Paisley petals designer paper has so many coordinating colors:  Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, River Rock, Soft Suede & Tangerine Tango.  But this color combo was calling me.

I had lots of fun making this personal journal and can't wait to start tracking my progress.  This paper and stamp set will be available for you soon ( there is a fabulous promotion coming your way)  Check back this week to see other awesome projects made with this collection.

Finally, I did it!

Published by under 3D,baby,Canada,Mini album, utube video

Wow, I realized that I am not a producer!  I have worked so hard for my first video.  Not that it was hard to do but I learned lot's of things along the way.  The first video I made was awesome but too long for Youtube:(  Then I lost it a few times, dropped water on my project, broke a nail…)  It's been lots of hours and hard work but worth every minute.  I am going to bed smarter.  After all, I had never studied arts before, sew, and produce mini movies.  I studied medical sciences in high school and University!  I hope you will be pleased and basically the goal was to give you the instructions for my Bliss mini album + you get to hear my French accent!  So I hope this is clear for you!  I had seen a similar mini album at my upline's Marlayne and fell in love and then just created a few with sale-a-bration sets!

So to thank you for your patience, I have a BLOG CANDY.  I am giving 1 of these cute albums to 3 readers who will post a comment on my blog!  And if I don't get any comments then I get to keep them all! lol

Here are a few pictures of the album that I showed today and if you want to see my Bliss mini album then click HERE.  I also wanted to thank my facebook supporters during this trial period (Kimberly, Lysanne, Sonia etc)

The pictures are of my youngest daughter Jordan when she was 9 months.  There are two things she said to me:  "You keep saying my name on the video, it must be because you love me alot"  and the second thing she said was:  " why did you put a flower hat on my head?"

Smells like Spring

Although we are freezing here in Ontario, Canada, this morning it felt like spring in my studio.  I have been working on a few exciting spring events and can't wait to share them with you soon.  Mojo was on full swing this morning.  I have been trying to convince my husband Anthony for a sweet escape where it's a little warmer than here, but so far no luck!  Grrrrrr!  I don't know why, but the humidity in my bones is making me feel old:(  I cannot stand it.  Today, Megan had a drop in for skating and let me tell you it was colder in the arena than outside.  I have two new best friends, my Uggs boots and my North Face jacket!

Back to the stamping:)  I am going to share the instructions for the mini album this weekend, it's on my to do list.  I am so exciting it will be a video, my very first.  So stop by this weekend to view it.

I met with my stamp club members.  Here is what we came up for Rachel's grand-daughter Camélya for her 3rd birthday, this sweet birthday card and matching mini album.

I told you I was in a spring kind of mood!  Don't you love the color combo!  I love the Easter Blossoms stamp set as it has more than one use for it like a cute birthday card for Camélya!

We then worked on the mini album, how adorable, Grand-ma Rachel will be able add pictures of Camélya on the inside of her precious album.

Here is a video on how to make the album!

We had a great time creating it and today's stamping made it feel not so cold as my studio was warmed up with Spring colors and Love!  Have a great weekend and make sure to stop by for my first video!

Pay it forward, simply gorgeous

For me, it all started when Kimberly Van Diepen, who posted on facebook this comment:

"Here is something VERY fun! Time to pay it Forward in 2011: I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who leave a comment here. They must in turn post this and send something they make to the first 5 people who comment on their status. *The rules are that it must be handmade by you and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011!"

She is a stamper that I truly admire because her projects reflect my style, and she is an awesome lady!  Anyway,  decided to take her up in this little challenge.  So, I re posted on my facebook profile and my Riverfrontstampin Facebook page.  Well, guess what:  I have 5 projects to do for my profile and 4 for my riverfront page = 9 in total.  It's a great thing that I have the entire year to do so.

Although, I didn't receive my pay forward from Kimberly, I did from one of my downline, awesome helper and good friend Lysanne.  She rocked my world this week at a workshop I was hosting with her pay forward to me.  She attended the event and brought my pay forward.   It is gorgeous.  As I would say in French, J'adore, J'adore, J'adore!!!  Merci Lysanne, du fond de mon coeur.

Let me share with you our relationship.  It's a small world!   She was looking for a Stampin'up! demonstrator because a friend had talked about SU products, so she looked into the demo finder in her area and voilà, my name appeared.  So she emailed me and found out that I was THE nurse at the high school she works.  And the rest is history.  As my business grew she has become my fabulous helper that I couldn't live without!

The colors and style are so me! And if you have been following my blog a little, you know I love baja breeze and stencils.  I hope stampin up creates more stencils.

Isn't it wonderful!  In the pockets are some wine "clippies", I don't know how to call them, lol

For complete instructions and product list, email me!

This pay forward comment made a lot of people create, which is so wonderful.  I haven't sent my pay forwards yet but I think they will be different from one another to represent the people that I am sending them to.

I have updated my classes view HERE, there are more to come:) If you want a fun fill day and need to update your scrapbook or need fresh ideas for your scrapbook classes,  I still have a few spots for my stamp-a-rama day in your pj.

Oh and I almost forgot, Marlayne and I are hosting our 2nd Creative Escape weekend retreat April 1st,2nd and 3rd and there are only 5 rooms left!  Book now to save your spot!  Details HERE

My to do list for the week for you: instructions for the card-scrapbook and a sneak peak from my stamp-a-rama day (you will fall off your chair on the cover album) and my to do list for me:  clean my stamp-create room, send downline packages and thank you cards & I am going for a run cause I made a goal to lose 14 and a half pounds before the Alaska Stampin up! Cruise!

Have a great day xoxo

What’s the most popular sale-a-bration product?

It's snow day, so I'm home with the kids.  The girls are cleaning their stamp/playroom.   One of these days, I'll need to figure out how to do a video and give you a tour of our stampin'Kingdom.  I'm embarrassed to say that theirs looks much better then mine right now.  Megan is making some bookmarks with leftover valentine paper from last year for all her schoolmates.  We still have to figure what we will do for the boys!

I am having a fun day.  I'm planning a wonderful project for Melissa's chicks and chocolate party tomorrow night.  (Picture below)  If you would like to join us, email me! Class is 20$ or 25$ if you want 20 pieces of antique brads included.

This afternoon, we are heading to the physio as Megan injured herself.  Please pray for her.  She has been training since summer for this important  EOSIC competition on Friday in Toronto.  Poor girl, she is trying to pretend all is good because she doesn't want to miss the event.  It makes me feel so sad for her, as a nurse and especially a mom, I need to remind her that even though she has been working so hard, and put her heart and soul into preparing for this competition that we might not be able to go and that her health is much more important.

Now, have you guess which product as been most popular in the sale-a-bration brochure?

It's the Punch Bunch stamp set #123211 (c) #121847(w) or in french: Perfo à gogo #123237(c) #123235(w), in spanish, Perfora y decora: #123252(c) #123250(w).  If you have all the coordinating punches, it's so fun and easy.  You just need to stamp and punch.  Which punch coordinates?:  Two-Step Owl, Scallop square, 1 3/4" Scallop circle large tag, 1" circle punches.

Here is my card:

Love the seam binding, if you pull on the thread this is what it does!

Is it scrapbooking or a card?

Yesterday, I said I was going to share my wow project from my terrific workshop with Lysanne.  Love this project because it is pleasing for cardmakers and scrapbookers.  I will have lot's of pictures to share about this project because it's in steps.  Hope you enjoy it.

I also have a few more albums to share and a video on how to make these.  Click HERE

As you remove the belly band this is what you would see:

When it is completely open, you can add a few pictures and add card stock to put your greeting inside and send this project to someone special.  I love using the spritzer tool with the bliss sale-a-bration stamp sets.

How do you use the spritzer tool #107066?

You insert the larger tip of a stampin'write marker and you would squeeze the large end of the spritzer to create air. The air will then make the ink from the stampin'write cover the card stock with tiny dots of ink on your card stock.  It is beautiful and vintage.  Love love love the spritzer.  If you like vintage YOU need a spritzer.  The closer you apply your marker, the more intense the specs will be.

Actually, this has become my book "bragger" of the girls.  I carry it in my leadership purse.

Products used to create my card:

Stamp:  Bliss #121851(w) #123217(c) FREE ,Joie #123240(w) #123242(c) FREE,Dicha #123255(w) #123257(c) FREE

Card stock and paper:  Crumb cake card stock #120953 $8.50, basic black #121045 $8.50 and very vanilla #101650 $9.25, specialty designer series paper #121878 $14.95

Ink:  Basic black #101179 $7.25, crumb cake #121030 $7.25, Basic Black stampin'write #100082 $4.50

Accessories and tools:  Rhinestones #119246 $6.50, linen thread #104199 $5.95, Decorative Label Punch #120907 $23.95, 1/16" circle punch #101227 $12.75 and spritzer tool #107066
