Shoe box swap, in style

I was inspired to create this card for our team shoe box swap.  What is a shoe box swap?  You cut and prepare products for your demonstrator friends.  They go from station to station to create 10 cards.  It's fun because you come home with 10 cards designed by other demonstrators.  They have to be simple and not take more than 5 minutes to make.  I love my color combination card.  Baja breeze and real red are so stylish together.

These Candy Cane designer buttons are huge!  I could not resist and had to add a button to my card.  I also added the matching fabric with my Candy Cane button.  Another of my recent favorite or coup de coeur you would say (in french), is the tasteful trim Bigz xl die.  I used it a lot recently.  Sadly I cannot show you the projects since they are a surprise for my retreat attendees.  But I promise to post them in October!

Double Post today

Thanks for being patient with me.  Our 2 p c are broken and I have to admit, there are things I still don't know how to do on my mac.  I also need to thank my husband who had the tech come in today STAT!

For being so patient, my post today will be a double one and you are going to be pleased.  First of all I had created for my Sudsol swaps this first project.  It was also to be featured on Marvelous Monday's.  I just love the turn out and hope my Sudsol swappies will love it too.

Blythe was the hostess, and I have to admit she is really a sweet lady for accommodating me on such short notice.  You have to see my post on the weekend and see why I have been so busy.  Not only back to school but I have been working on something big lately.  Ok enough chatting!

The first card is for the demonstrators that participated in the swap.  I made 40 babies of these.

The second card is my upgrade and this one is for my hostess, Blythe.  Sometimes, adding just a few accessories can bring a card to the next level.  Simply elegant!

getting ready for the Holiday Mini

There are so many benefits about joining the Stampin'up! Family.  One of them is the preorder.  What does a preorder mean?  One month before a new mini or Catalogue is to be released to the public, we demonstrators from hobbiest to top leaders get to order products and play with them ahead of time.  I always do the happy dance when that comes along.  It also get me ready to swap with other demonstrators to find ideas for all of you for future classes.

My angel Lysanne and I planned out these cards for a swap that I am participating in.  I used supplies from our 2010-2011 catalog and from the new Holiday Mini coming out September 1st.

Book your Christmas Card class  or if you would like to purchase the starter kit as a hobbiest or to make extra money like I do,  email me today!  The first one to schedule a card party and the first one to email me about the starter kit gets a FREE gift.  HINT:  holiday mini.  Stampin up has challenged the Canadian demonstrators to have a new team member join our family.  What's in it for you or me?  We get expedite shipping, that means we get our poducts the same week as we ordered instead of 10-14 business day the entire month of September! wohhhhhhooooooooo! Hello! That means you get your orders from the new holiday mini the same week you ordered them!

Just playing around…

I don't drink coffee but just had to have Morning Cup stamp set, it's adorable.  I just took 10 minutes today to play with this set.  This is not a typical card I would give to a friend.  But I challenged myself to be a little creative.

I used a blender pen to color the cups.  If you press on your ink pad the ink will go on the lid.  Then I use a blender pen and picked up the ink to color my image.  The two tags die is exclusive to stampinup so you cannot purchase it any store.  When you pull  the tab, you get to see that some need more coffee in the morning than others…

Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I had creating it! Bonne journee tout le monde! Have a great day!

Wowser Wednesday

It's the middle of the week and I wanted to share with you a wow project.  FACT:  Did you know since stampin up associated themselves with Sizzix, Sizzix had to hire 20% more employees.  We are also very lucky that stampinup has a partnership with them because they get to customize dies just for us!  The big shot has a lot of advantages and today I will show you one of them.

I made these for the 3D sudsol swap at convention, and gave one to a few special people in my stampin up life:  my trainer Ronda Wade, my SAM (service account manager) and one to stampinup.  Seriously you will love these, people would stop me to take a picture and ask questions.  A perfect gift for a hostess during Christmas time.  I will be making a few of these for my clients that book a workshop in the next 3 months.

The Pattern box , I had, It's not a die!  But you can print the pattern Here

The following materials work well when creating die cuts with the Big Shot machine and Bigz and Originals dies. Please note the maximum thickness of several materials. As a rule of thumb, you can cut a material with your Big Shot machine and Bigz or Originals dies if you can cut it using your Craft & Paper Scissors.

  • Thick corkboard
  • Thick chipboard (59 mil)
  • Colored magnet
  • Ruffle board
  • Paper wood
  • Balsa wood (3/32")
  • Bass wood (1/16")
  • Metal mesh
  • Aluminum (.016)
  • Tin (.008)
  • Adhesive and non-adhesive mat board
  • Drawer liner
  • Shelf liner
  • Vinyl
  • Static cling vinyl
  • Shrink film
  • Fine sandpaper
  • Clear acetate (20 mil)
  • Vellum
  • Card stock
  • Patterned paper
  • Flocked paper
  • Contact paper
  • Textured paper
  • Metallic paper
  • Linen paper
  • Suede paper
  • Embossed metallic paper
  • Basketball embossed paper
  • Faux alligator textured paper
  • Self-adhesive glitter paper
  • Fabric
  • Canvas
  • Iron-on fabric
  • Soft plush fabric
  • Burlap
  • Velvet
  • Corduroy
  • Lace
  • Heavyweight denim
  • Terry cloth
  • Funky fur
  • Thin leather
  • Quilt batting
  • Warm & natural batting
  • Fusible fleece
  • Self-adhesive craft metal
  • Self-adhesive cork
  • Self-adhesive foam
  • Self-adhesive magnet
  • Self-adhesive felt
  • Adhesive and non-adhesive rubber
  • Pop up sponge
  • Poly foam
  • 100% pure beeswax (cut with parchment paper on top & bottom of beeswax.)

I will be creating my first video on how to make these but for now here is a list of material needed:

Big shot # 113439

Snowflake #2 die #113460

Share night on the cruise 2010 part 1

Jacynthe, a fellow demonstrator and I were so excited about share night. There were signs in different places of the ship to direct us to the theater.

Sometimes I wonder how Shelli stays so fit, Stampin’up! always organizes great snacks! And then there were the projects.  Lots of demonstrators brought many fabulous creations.  The next pictures are not created by me,there are from talented demonstrators but I don’t know all their names.

These cool flipflop were made with the Big shot and Stampin up flower folds die #115970.  I am thinking of making them as party favors for my daughter’s  Jordan’s 5th birthday party. Which is in July, I am kind of going threw this little crisis right now.  My baby turning 5!  This is about the time were I usually ask for another baby, but my husband made sure we were not to have anymore.  He is living with 4 women + Maya our female dog!  Oh! and my oldest daughter Megan is turning 10.  So this is kind of hard on me, right now!

Then there was Christie, she made headbands, necklaces, barrettes and broches with the bigshot and scallop circle #2die #113469.  Best part that I liked is there is no sewing involved.

We were all cramping in to see the fabulous projects.  My husband stayed away from this one!

BJ Peters demonstrated all evening these gorgeous felt flowers.  She used the circle #2 die # 114526

Has you can see, the big shot is not only for scrapbooking it is very useful to cut 50 types of material.  If you don’t have your big shot #113439 why not order it this month and get creative with lots of summer projects. Ask me about my May Cruisin’SpecialYou can get a super great deal!!  Live away from me, click on my 24hrs shopping button to order and have the brown man come to your door.  Got to go my daughter is skating tonight but part 2 tomorrow.

Happy monday everyone

Haute couture quilted purse

Well I loved my first quilted bag that I decided to do a bigger purse that fits my personal taste!  I was inspired to create in the tones of the bag that I received at leadership. (One of the purkes of being a demonstrator) You can view it  here.  My challenge was to take a picture of this bag since I made it bigger to fit in all my nic nacs that I usually bring in my purse.  The bigger the better!

Here is a close up.  Thank you Paula for the expertise in haute couture!

The flower folds were different this time.  I decided to add lots of layers without crossing them over.  I just love the fluff, makes it so feminine!

This is my favorite pic.  You can see all the layers here!

If you are interested in signing up for a class on how to do these gorgeous bags, please email me!  I have so many ideas since I started using the Big shot to cut fabrics with all the sizzix dies!  Thank you stampin up. What next!

Have a wonderful monday! Bon lundi tout le monde!

My first quilt purse

When I attended leadership in Arizona I learned that you can use the big shot for quilting.  Actually did you know that the big shot can cut up to 50 different types of material.

Last Thursday,my friend Claudine and I decided to attack this great opportunity.  I wanted to create the scallop square purse.  Here is my first gorgeous quilted purse.  These colors remind me of spring. The flower has been created with the Flower Folds die # 115970 and for the purse, I used the Scallop Squre die #  115950.  And of course I love matching things so I used Button Latte #114333 on my fabric flower.  Wouldn’t it be cute to do a diaper bag for expecting moms.  Even my husband was super impress  by the bag.  I just got a bunch of fabric and I am off to create a very trendy bag.To order these or to see other great dies for scrapbooking or for quilting contact me.

Sale-a-bration is a great opportunity to earn your big shot for FREE or if you have the big shot then why not get FREE dies!  Contact me today to book your party.  we still have February and March!

Stay tune I have lots to share this week!  Have a great Wednesday!  Bonne semaine!
