Order my banner calendar today

We are back from a fabulous holiday.  Turks and caicos was amazing.  After loads of laundry, I've taken the time to post this cutie.  It's perfect for your desk or your counter at home.  I saw one of the European demos post these cute frames and decided to customize mine.  I used the cupcakes & carousels suite from the holiday catalogue.  I couldn't think of a better collection to highlight important dates.  Here is a sneak peek part 1 of my cupcakes & carousels banner calendar. Guests that attend our occasion's event on February 18th will have the opportunity to sign up for this fun class.  There is still a couple of days left for you to join in on the fun.  Get the details HERE.

Below is a couple of banners that will be added behind the cover page of my banner calendar.   They will flip as the months change.

TIP:  Did you know that the carousel birthday stamp set coordinates with the up & away thinlits?  When used, you can punch out your cupcakes, icing and base:)

I truly adore the cupcakes and carousels suite.   The color combo is remarkable as well, it's a combination of Bermuda bay, calypso coral, early espresso, peekaboo peach, so saffron and very vanilla.  The cupcakes & carousels designer series paper stack highlights these colors and the designer did an amazing job at creating vintage designs for the paper.  I also adore the coordinating embellishments kit.  I also used this kit to decorate my banners. The collection also has card stock, coordinating stampin'write markers and the carousel birthday stamp set.  Check out the details of products of this fabulous  collection below.

Do you need the perfect stamp set for birthdays

I am drooling over Stampinup!'s balloon adventures stamp set with coordinating balloon pop-up thinlits die and the balloon bouquet punch.  It's the perfect stamp set that includes 8 birthday greetings.

"Pour les francophones, ce jeu d'estampes est disponible en Français, ballons à l'aventure. Tu peux  voir dans la liste de produits ci bas les détails des voeux :)"

For this card, I've combined it with the tasty treats specialty designer series paper, the tasty treats designer washi tape and the sprinkles embellishments.

Tip: If you haven't tried using washi tapes on your cards, I suggest that you give it a shot. It's an easy way to create straight lines that divides your cardstock from the dsp.

If you are looking for a bolder and brighter look, on p.5 of the occasion's catalogue, there is the party animal collection; dsp, washi tape, card stock and embellishments.  I will list them below for you to view.

I'm still away from my computer for a couple more days, so very sorry for the brief posts. You can still send me emails to schedule your own party to earn FREE products or better yet get your own customizable starter kit.

Today is the last day for my January hostess code. Tomorrow you will get the new code for February to earn points for your free stamp set.  Some extra goodies from me:*** When you order in my online store, add hostess code: ZC7CZ4HE. This will give you an extra 5 samplers cards from occasion's catalogue products created by myself, mailed directly to you… If you join my team and purchase the starter kit: Receive 2 PDF's from my occasion's event…

Keeping a sense of calmness

I don't know too many people who don't like photographic waterfront stamp sets?  There is something soothing about the High tide stamp set.  It brings a sense of calmness, relaxating and peacefulness.  The bonus is that it is also available in french, "pour les clientes francophones".  It's called Maree haute #143462. Speaking of calmness.  I don't know about you, but I cannot keep my craft room in order.  It's nonesense, there is no sense of calmness there!!! I cleaned it on Sunday and I'm embarrassed to say that I have to tidy up again:(  There must be a system! If you know the answer to tidyness in a craft room, please share…  I read this quote on pinterest:  "creativity is messy and I am very creative".  It just made me giggle.   I guess I'm creative.  More and more demonstrators are promoting videos about projects they have created.  I need to clean my studio before I venture in videos…

I chose a nautical color theme for the High tide stamp set today.  Measurements for this card are a little none tradional so I'll share the details below.  I think this stamp set is perfect for masculine cards.  My card today has a doily but I would not be ashamed to give it to a man!  Love my doilies.  Once again, I created different versions and a step up for this project.  I coordinated the stamp set with the floral boutique designer series paper.  You need to check out this designer paper in the annual catalogue.  It is beautiful and  the projects that stampin up published are so me.  I love the shabby chic look.  Check it out on p.76 of the annual catalogue.

Card #1

Steps

1.  Cut Night of Navy 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 5 1/5,9 3/4 and and 10 1/4

2.  Tear the edge of the night of navy card stock on one side (side where you've scored at 10 1/4 mark)

3.  Cut 2 pieces of designer paper, one at 4 x 4  and the other at 4 x1 1/2 and adhere to card stock

4.  Punch two  holes with  the 1/8' hand held circle punch and thread the whisper white linen and tie with a knot.  on both extremities like in the attached image.

5.  Cut a piece of whisper white card stock at 2 1/2 x 3  1/2 and stamp image with night of navy ink.  Mount on a piece of  2 3/4 x  3 3/4 night of navy card stock.

6.  Add doily to designer paper  and pop up the stamped image to the designer paper.

7.  Stamp a greating on whisper white card stock and attach to card.

And voilà!!

Card #2

Add white perfect accents #138416 to step up your card.

Card # 3

Added Night of navy solid Baker's twine

All the details to the products used are listed below.

Best promotion ever, join the fun…

Here are my two different versions of my sweet cupcake card!!! Love the sweet cupcake stamp set from Stampin'up!'s annual catalogue! I'm sending cards to some of my team members for their personal achievements…  There are so many perks to join stampin up for as little as 135$ Canadian, get 165$ of products plus 2 bonus stamp sets for a limited time! I'd love for your to join my team!

Join The Fun

Is crafting a big part of your life? Do you want to earn money while doing something you love? How about the convenience of setting your own hours? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then Stampin' Up! is the perfect opportunity for you.

Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator means sharing your passion for stamping with family and friends, meeting new people, and building a great business doing so-plus, you get to set your own schedule!  Click HERE for all the details….

The starter kit is also a great opportunity to get $165 of products for $135 and during sale a bration, you get two bonus stamp sets of your choice.

I would love to share my story on why I joined:  In June 2006, I was a full time nurse & a mother of 3 beautiful girls.  I attended a workshop and fell in love with the products.  I was just returning to work from a maternity leave and wanted to get the products at a discount price to complete my daughters albums.  I was able to reduce my nursing hours and create  my own working hours.  I started hosting for my friends and over the years I hosted parties with people like you, strangers that became friends.  I have experienced all levels with stampin up:  Buying the kit for the discount=hobby demonstrator, hosting to family and friends=business demonstrator, making it part of my family income and being #3 Demonstrator in Canada in 2011 while having a large team of demonstrators = a leader demonstrator. With Stampin up!  There is a place for everyone…

Join my team by clicking here or email me with your questions. Not from Canada, ask me how to link you to a demonstrator in your country!

I wanted to show you highlights from my card.  Do you see that sparkle on the icing on the cupcake, it's a new product we carry in the annual catalogue called Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  It comes in gold #141898 and clear #141897.  It's a glitter pen for accenting stamped images.

A highlight of this product is that it is none messy… I get the glitter effect without having sparkles everywhere including my face 🙂

I've created two versions of the cupcake card.  This one above has more details… It includes extra ribbon and the new stitched shapes framelits dies #145372 that was sold out,  is back!!!!   Whoohooo!!!  When it sold out the first time in 2 weeks,  I wanted to cry… Now that it is back available, I ordered it and expedited the order to get it before they run out again.   Get yours today… #bestproductever.  It cuts thoughtfully stitched circles, squares and ovals in seconds with framelits dies and the big shot.

This version is simpler, less ribbon.  The up side to this is when creating simpler cards, you can duplicate them at a faster pace.

I have to say I adore my color combo.  All the details to the products used are listed below.    I also am loving the touches of textures stamp set.  It's so versatile. It's content has stamps that are perfect to use as backgrounds.  I hope you've enjoyed by birthday card.  Wishing youi a great evening, hope you stamp your heart out!

Giving for a good cause

To show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Paper Pumpkin is going PINK…  or at least the October boxes are!!!  Stampin'Up! will donate $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin Subscriber + An additional $1 for every new subscriber to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

What is paper pumpkin?  It's a fully designed project kit that arrives in a delightful box (PINK for October if you sign up before October 10th) filled with stamps, ink, paper and all the accessories you need to complete your projects.  Everything ready to go….It's the perfect gift for family and friends.  It is also the perfect start if you are a beginner or if you don't have a lot of supplies at home.  It is also a great kit for the expert stampers because you can tweak it to your taste.

Here is a sample of the August kit, Chalk it Up to Love.  This is my simple version.  I copied the project exactly like the instructions that came with the content. So it's simple and easy and you learn new techniques along the way.  This kit came with all the supplies, stamp set and ink to make 3 boxes, 6 cards and 6 envelopes.  I keep all the projects made in a box and when I have an event and need a quick card for weddings, birthdays etc. I go directly in that box.  Also, when the projects are 3D, I will give these as hostess gifts and incorporate a treat.

The kits come all wrapped up.  It's a surprise to get your new kit every month.  You never know what is coming…. If you are a pinterest lover, there is a special spot for all the paper pumpkin kits and you get to view different projects.  Check it out HERE.

Wouldn't these boxes make a great hostess gift? When the boxes contain 3 D projects, I love to  give them to friends, teachers or even use them as pillow gift for family and friends that are coming for sleepovers.  It's also a great hostess gift to give to friends when invited for dinner.  I would add chocolate to mine.  As for all the cards, I placed them in a box.   When the girls need a birthday card for their parties or if I need a sympathy card or a wedding card and I'm in a rush, I just pick one out of the box.   The bonus is you get to keep the inks and stamp sets to make many more projects…

Here's a picture from Jordan, sewing on her card for her friend's birthday party.  She made the card on her own from one of the kits. It's from the March kit 2015 SEW YOU. A great way for her to learn how to sew.

Then mama stepped in and tweaked the kit to make it a wowser for the birthday girl…

So you can see how fun these kits are for new, beginners to expert stampers..

There are two simple ways to subscribe:

PAY AS YOU GO  Just sign up once for $24.95 a month (shipping included) and a new kit is delivered to your door each month.

or

PREPAID SUBSCRIPTION  A great way to get a subscription yourself, or give one to a friend! Pay in advance and save money (shipping included)

1 month #137858 $24.95

3 month #137859 $74.85

6 month #137860 $143.70 (save $1 per month)

12 month #137861 $275.40 (save $2 per month) Bonus you can get hostess benefits, ask me how?

Please give it a try, if you sign up before October 10th you are giving to a good cause.  So many woman are affected by breast cancer.  I am surrounded by them.  I have a team mate in my downline, a nurse coworker who is 30 years old battling her second round.  You can read up about her situation HERE.  I have 3 daughters and want to make sure they grow old and stay healthy…Together, we will make a difference!

My Aha! moment:)

I took out a couple of Halloween decorations out since I was so excited playing with all my Halloween goodies from the Holiday catalogue.  Then, I reconsidered…. Chris's birthday is coming very soon, actually it's on Thanksgiving this year.  I just can't take out the Halloween stuff before his birthday… It just doesn't feel right…I'm still not sure how I am going to post about him.  Some of you know how I love to scrapbook and I would sure like to incorporate him in my pages.  How can I describe Chris to you?   On social media, Chris is  like Tim the toolman Taylor's neighbor, Wilson W. Wilson Jr.  You never get to see his face on the show.  Well that is pretty much my social media life with Chris.  Ya! he's a private guy but the main reason involves his career.  With some careers social media is not a great thing… He also has my best interest at heart… Therefore, You will not get to see very much of my guy:)  Here's a little sneak peak… I do plan on putting him in my project life albums, you might not see all his body parts on my blog lol  I can count on one hand the number of years he has until retirement…. After that, it will be a different story.  He does have some serious man candy going, so I'm very sorry that I can't share:))))  It will be a very thick album since we are compatible in so many ways and already have a great deal of adventures that need to be preserved in albums:)

He didn't know it was him in the picture when I showed him.  Maybe cause he didn't have any gel in his hair.. So I don't think it's a big deal that I share here.  Plus it's the perfect "Wilson" picture.  I'm still struggling with the nick name I will call him while blogging.  If you have any ideas please share…

Back to stamping.  I created a couple of 3D treat holders.  My focus was Halloween but you can make these goodies with a completely different theme.  The more I play with my Stampin'up! products, the more I get creative.  Albert Einstein once said:  "Creativity is intelligence having fun."  I'm having a great time and struggling with Influenza so I haven't slept much this week. I had all the time in the world to think of creative projects.   A couple of days ago, I had a aha moment. not sure if the designer at Stampin'up! planned this out but the spider web dollies on p. 47 from the Holiday catalogue fits perfectly with the square pillow box thinlits dies p. 41. Isn't this awesome? I think so!

See my images below:  I cut the spider web dollies in half and it fit perfectly on the top of the square pillow box.  I also used a clear window sheet to make all my pillow boxes.  My goal was to show off the goodies in the boxes but you can use regular card stock to make them.  Different options are in the holiday catalogue on p. 41. I also love how Stampin up! created bundle deals, the pillow die has a great bundle deal.  You get 15% off when you purchase the square pillow box thinlits dies with the stamp set called a little something on p 41. I received a couple of requests for the paper copy of the catalogue. If you are in canada and want a paper copy email me HERE.

I decided to post the boxes individually so you get a better look at these.  I can't pick which one is my favorite?

Love Love Love the Happy Haunting designer series paper #139584. Especially this side of the designer paper which reminds me of burberry.

I had to do a custom pillow box for Jordan… I added chocolate in her box and her picture as well.

These make perfect Halloween treats.  And the decoration adds a touch of love to share with your family, coworkers and friends. I'm thinking of adding a basket of these at my desk at work.

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend.  I'm off to bake pumpkin spice cookies for my gang!

Smells like Spring

Although we are freezing here in Ontario, Canada, this morning it felt like spring in my studio.  I have been working on a few exciting spring events and can't wait to share them with you soon.  Mojo was on full swing this morning.  I have been trying to convince my husband Anthony for a sweet escape where it's a little warmer than here, but so far no luck!  Grrrrrr!  I don't know why, but the humidity in my bones is making me feel old:(  I cannot stand it.  Today, Megan had a drop in for skating and let me tell you it was colder in the arena than outside.  I have two new best friends, my Uggs boots and my North Face jacket!

Back to the stamping:)  I am going to share the instructions for the mini album this weekend, it's on my to do list.  I am so exciting it will be a video, my very first.  So stop by this weekend to view it.

I met with my stamp club members.  Here is what we came up for Rachel's grand-daughter Camélya for her 3rd birthday, this sweet birthday card and matching mini album.

I told you I was in a spring kind of mood!  Don't you love the color combo!  I love the Easter Blossoms stamp set as it has more than one use for it like a cute birthday card for Camélya!

We then worked on the mini album, how adorable, Grand-ma Rachel will be able add pictures of Camélya on the inside of her precious album.

Here is a video on how to make the album!

We had a great time creating it and today's stamping made it feel not so cold as my studio was warmed up with Spring colors and Love!  Have a great weekend and make sure to stop by for my first video!
