Overload bunny cuteness

I had the pleasure to host my monthly team meeting last week.  We were chatting so much that I forgot to take pictures… I designed an easy make and take for them.  What I loved best is that everyone added their twist to their project.  Once again, I forgot to take pictures of their designs before they left. If you follow me on instagram (riverfrontstampin) you were able to see my project as I posted the love notes and matching box there.  If you didn’t see my pictures, here is a series of pictures.

I love the succulent garden designer series paper.  It is perfect for Easter and spring projects.  I’m a gingham girl.  There are two different gingham sheets in the designer series paper package, 2 sheets of each color. These two were my favorite.  Plus, there is a load of different designs in the kit.  The coordinating ribbon is gorgeous.

To make my bunnies, I used the basket builder and coordinating basket bunch.  The best part was the tail.  I used the pompom trim ribbon to make the fluffy ball.  The list of products is identified below.

For a quick reference, I’ve added a list:

  • Basket builder framelits dies #143228
  • Basket bunch stamp set #143186
  • Succulent garden designer series paper #142778
  • Succulent Garden 3/8” ribbon combo Pack #142781
  • Whisper white mini pompom trim #141486
  • Sweet sugarplum ink pad #141395
  • Tip top taupe ink pad #138325
  • Whisper white card stock #100730
  • Linen Thread #104199
  • Mint Macaron 3/8” sheer linen ribbon #141656
  • Polka dot textured impressions embossing folder #133739
  • Scalloped tag topper punch  #133324
  • Pearl Basic Jewels #119247
  • Dimensionals #104430

The instructions to make the box are listed HERE.  The only difference with today’s box, I added a belly band with the succulent garden dsp.  My belly band measured 1” x 12’.  I wrapped it around the box.  It slides off easy if you add dimensionals to glue it down. To view measurements for the love notes and to make the cute tags on top, see instructions HERE.

Pour les clientes francophones, le jeu est disponible en français #143436 et pour le lot de panier de Pâques (jeu et poinçons framelits) #144732

Aside from prizes, recognition, we had yummy treats. Here's one of them! There's not a better feeling than a group of people getting together to stamp and have fun!

Giving for a good cause

To show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Paper Pumpkin is going PINK…  or at least the October boxes are!!!  Stampin'Up! will donate $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin Subscriber + An additional $1 for every new subscriber to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

What is paper pumpkin?  It's a fully designed project kit that arrives in a delightful box (PINK for October if you sign up before October 10th) filled with stamps, ink, paper and all the accessories you need to complete your projects.  Everything ready to go….It's the perfect gift for family and friends.  It is also the perfect start if you are a beginner or if you don't have a lot of supplies at home.  It is also a great kit for the expert stampers because you can tweak it to your taste.

Here is a sample of the August kit, Chalk it Up to Love.  This is my simple version.  I copied the project exactly like the instructions that came with the content. So it's simple and easy and you learn new techniques along the way.  This kit came with all the supplies, stamp set and ink to make 3 boxes, 6 cards and 6 envelopes.  I keep all the projects made in a box and when I have an event and need a quick card for weddings, birthdays etc. I go directly in that box.  Also, when the projects are 3D, I will give these as hostess gifts and incorporate a treat.

The kits come all wrapped up.  It's a surprise to get your new kit every month.  You never know what is coming…. If you are a pinterest lover, there is a special spot for all the paper pumpkin kits and you get to view different projects.  Check it out HERE.

Wouldn't these boxes make a great hostess gift? When the boxes contain 3 D projects, I love to  give them to friends, teachers or even use them as pillow gift for family and friends that are coming for sleepovers.  It's also a great hostess gift to give to friends when invited for dinner.  I would add chocolate to mine.  As for all the cards, I placed them in a box.   When the girls need a birthday card for their parties or if I need a sympathy card or a wedding card and I'm in a rush, I just pick one out of the box.   The bonus is you get to keep the inks and stamp sets to make many more projects…

Here's a picture from Jordan, sewing on her card for her friend's birthday party.  She made the card on her own from one of the kits. It's from the March kit 2015 SEW YOU. A great way for her to learn how to sew.

Then mama stepped in and tweaked the kit to make it a wowser for the birthday girl…

So you can see how fun these kits are for new, beginners to expert stampers..

There are two simple ways to subscribe:

PAY AS YOU GO  Just sign up once for $24.95 a month (shipping included) and a new kit is delivered to your door each month.

PREPAID SUBSCRIPTION  A great way to get a subscription yourself, or give one to a friend! Pay in advance and save money (shipping included)

1 month #137858 $24.95

3 month #137859 $74.85

6 month #137860 $143.70 (save $1 per month)

12 month #137861 $275.40 (save $2 per month) Bonus you can get hostess benefits, ask me how?

Please give it a try, if you sign up before October 10th you are giving to a good cause.  So many woman are affected by breast cancer.  I am surrounded by them.  I have a team mate in my downline, a nurse coworker who is 30 years old battling her second round.  You can read up about her situation HERE.  I have 3 daughters and want to make sure they grow old and stay healthy…Together, we will make a difference!

Hostess Gift from Convention

Busy busy as a bee, as I was uploading pictures on my new computer, I realized that I have been very busy:  Convention, Vegas, Tony and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in July, finally had my open house with the launch of the new catalogue, we attended Tony's uncle's 60th birthday party and his cousin's wedding and I celebrated my birthday last Friday.  Thanks to all of you for posting happy birthday on Facebook.  Actually, if the Facebook wishes were stamped, handmade cards, I would have had 150 of them:) pretty impressive! On the downside, summer is half done and we haven't been around, Tony and I made a list of 30 things that needed to be done around the house.  We realized that our busy schedule was not going to cut it.  So my dad is helping us out and started today to do the things on the list.  I am so grateful and the girls are super excited that he's around too:)  I love watching the girls pitching around and helping him out.

I have so many projects that I want to show you.  Having all these events to attend in July made me stamp a lot. And now it's time to post some of them here.  First, I wanted to post my hostess box and matching cards that I presented at convention.  I created the box from a soap box from a hotel and just changed the size to fit a 3×3 card.  Simple Right?

If you would like one of these, there are 4 options to receive Kim's Hostess Set:

1- Book a Party with me

2- Place a online order with me + Bonus get VIP service

3- Join my team, I would love to share this opportunity with you

4- Place a comment on my blog and I will draw 1 of these

Good Luck!

Personally for this project I preferred using the marker because I colored in the images and left the bee out of the stamp set to replace it with a butterfly

Rainbow 3×3 cards and matching tote

Published by under 3D,Box,wowser wednesday

I don't know why but these cards remind me of back to school cards?  What a great gift for a teacher on the first day of school.  My inspiration came from the Play Date Rub-Ons #118760.  When you look on p.184 of the idea catalog you can see what colors match with these rub-ons.  In this case it was Tempting turquoise, so saffron, Chocolate Chip and Real Red.  Then I just needed to pull out these colors for accessories and cardstock.  Quick and Easy.  I love making complicated projects, but once in a while, I love an easy challenge.

I have to confess that this owl rub-on is so cute when you see it live and even more then on this picture.

My four matching cards to put inside the box with the coordinating envelops.  Don't forget to stamp on your envelops or to add a rub-on.  How fun to get a decorated card in the mail.

Supplies used for this project:

Play date Rub-ons #118760 4 sheets for only 9.75$

Over the top Thursday

Have you been struggling with your scrapbooking or you don't have enough time?  Creating progressive page is a easy and a quick way to create lots of pages.  I have prepared for you today 3 projects that feature the Greenhouse Gala Designer series paper.  The colors are so yummy! Don't be shy about leaving a comment, actually it would be nice to see if someone in the cyber world is looking at these projects lol

Step 1:  start by cutting your pear pizzazz cardstock at 6×6 and then embellish with designer paper and ribbon.

Step 2:  with snail adhesive add you 6×6 page to a 8.5×11 cardstock.  I used early espresso.

Step 3 Mount you 8.5×11 onto a 12×12 piece of cardstock.  Check in tomorrow to see the final project with title and pictures.  But this simple page takes a maximum of 15 minutes to create.

I also added a matching card that was design by my friend Jacynthe.

This is when you open the card.  Note:  I would add a small piece of cardstock to add wording to the card.  ( A piece small enough that when the card is close you cannot see it)

Finally I created the matching 3D box and added chocolates inside. Oh and did I say I love the half pearls. You get 150 for 6.50$can.  I have been asking for those and stampin up has listen to us, demonstrators.

What a great gift for a good friend, a handmade card, scrapbook page and 3D box!  I just love giving gifts that coordinate.  Actually the reason I choose stampin up for my business was because everything matches. You save lots of time and the final projects are gorgeous. From markers, to ribbons, buttons, cardstocks, inks, the list goes on and on……

My workshop of a lifetime with Shelli Gardner

Workshop of a lifetime, Today I’m on cloud nine!  I am so excited to share with you my 9hrs with Shelli Gardner and her daughter Sara.  When I first woke up yesterday, I went directly to my laptop to see what Shelli had written on her blog about her flight to Canada.  When I read the Sara and Shelli had lost there luggage I thought to myself I better help them get ready with the workshop.  Kellene Adams is Shelli’s assistant, she called me at 12h30 eastern time and said:  Shelli lost her luggage and she doesn’t have everything for the workshop.  I told her I knew about it and said what I had prep.  for them and she was in relief.

12h55  Door bell rang!  it was Shelli, cute as can be with the most stylish hat.  I had been nervous but in the first 5 sec, she put me at ease.  She was the most amazing, down to earth and kind women I had ever met.  Sara stepped out of the car and we chatted about the luggage and what our plan was going to be.  Despite the luggage being lost, they were so organized!  In 5 min everything was cut and ready to go.  I have never seen paper chopped so fast!  Still I looked at them and had to pinch my self a few times!! Was this real!!!!

My guests arrived and Shelli and Sara greated them, we talked about their adventure and about Shanna’s wedding plans.  Shelli talked about her family with such pride.  How fortunate for her girls to have such a wonderful mom!

Shelli’s workshop was about stencils.  How ironic, I was suppose to present at the Regional in Seracuse, but sadly it was cancelled because of bad weather.  My theme was also stencils.  I just loved them.  I have been using them for numerous techniques but Shelli amazed me with her technique.  Something I hadn’t done with my customers…

This card was her demo card:  love it…..

She used Basic gray cardstock, sage shadow and natural white.

Designer paper was: Nouveau Chic  (got to order that!), and love the new satin ribbons from the mini.  She used the basic gray ribbon. and embellished with a clear rhinestone.

She placed one of her Elegant trio stencil from the definitely decorative insert on the natural white cardstock and used a dauber to add sage shadow ink.  Shelli left the stencil on and stamped the gratitude stamp from the stamp set define your life, which you can have for FREE if you buy the demonstrator starter kit before the end of Sale-a-bration(March 31st).  For the final touch she spritz black ink with the spritzer tool and the basic black marker.  Voila, tres chic!

 Make and Take # 1

While Shelli was getting ready, Sara "wowed" my guests with the first make and take. It was a adorable pen with a little tag that they had designed with the modern label punch and the trio flower punch.

Then came Make and Take #2

Shelli used the Note cards (you get 20 with envelops for $7.95 canadian).  She cut about half an inch and added the groom specialty paper.  She placed one of her Elegant trio stencil from the definitely decorative insert on the note card and used a dauber to add the orchid opulence ink  (one of Sara’s favorites) Shelli added. The stylish basic black image is called Vintage labels, one of many stamp sets you get for free when you purchase for 65$.  Embellishment with circle ice lilac brads and basic black satin ribbon.  So elegant!

Shelli also made this cute box which I don’t have a picture  for our BOOK TO LOOK.  I guess I got caught in the moment!  But inside was 4 little cards like you see here.  Anyone who booked a workshop that day got one of these cards with a little incentive inside.  We got 3 bookings!! Wooo Ohh for us… Sherry, Therese and Julie get to have a similar stampin party of their own to get lots of great products…For FREE

She used the in color cardstock which will retire in July…

Hostess Gift -how cute is that

Shelli taught of everything.  Look at my cute boxe.  Filled with chocolate (by the way)  We all need a taste of chocolate….  She stamped in french just for me.  "Tu es exceptionnelle" It’s the one of a kind stamp but in french.  I also loved the kaleidoscope designer paper she used.

Ok I have lots of Stampin up products in my stamp room but Shelli did you know what I don’t have.  Now I have to make another wish list with all these wonderful projects.

When you demonstrated these products, I thought to myself they are so me!  It is like if you knew what I liked.  I am so into vintage…

Anyway this concluded the workshop, my sales are not final but I have to say 3 bookings, 1 recruit and 2 potential recruits is the best workshop ever.  Why?  because I got to spend it with Shelli and Sara.  Thank you!!

Downline Dinner

Top row:  Melissa Lalonde,Melissa Nadeau, Michelle Nadeau, Manon Parent, Roxanne Sauve, Chantale Assaly, Paula Assaly

Bottom row:  Danielle Drouin, Shelli Gardner, me, Sara Gardner and Jennifer Inskip

Some of my downline couldn’t attend but I will give them the scoop at my next team meeting at the end of the month.

Because I live in this little town, Shelli had to drive an hour and she could not drive back to her hotel room before the downline meeting so my husband and I decided to invite Shelli and Sara for dinner.  But then had the brilliant idea of having my downline, my girls attend also.  Shelli was kind enough to agree.  So we had this delicious meal in my home.  It was so much fun!

Thank you again for the wonderful day yesterday. I am in aw mode today! I walked in my stamp room this morning and it felt different! The memories from yesterday’s event, I will treasure forever. The best part was to see the reaction of all the demonstrators during the evening event. (Which I will post about tomorrow)

I am blessed to have met you and Sara and will cherish your friendship forever. My family has been touched by your visit yesterday.  I cannot thank you enough!! I will see you on the Stampin up! cruise in April…

Do you want Shelli’s story of her visit to L’Orignal?  Go to Shelli’s blog:

Check out tomorrow for the evening event!!!

Convention make & take part 2

When I attended convention, the make & takes were divided in two separate areas.  In the second area, I created 4 make & takes to die for!

This Hello card was just radiant (in real) Love the new crushed curry.  I’m usually a bleu girl but this yellow is growing on me like a charm.  You have got to challenge yourself and try it.  Stamp set was Hello again which we received in our convention bag.

Then there was this cute :  Things I love Cello Bag of Cards with matching envelops.  We used the things I love stamp set .

What a great hostess gift!  Book a workshop and receive one of these:  Call me 613-675-1555 or email me:

Not enough chocolate:  Why not try making one of these cute Hello Box to hide delicious chocolates:  We used the Hello Again set and Retro Remix Stampin’Around wheel.

And here is my favorite make & take this lovely 8.5×8.5 page…  I love scrapbooking and just because I can share my favorite things: for the one’s who know me NEW SHOES ( lol Cindy Major), chocolate, shopping and my girls:  Megan(9),Jordan(4), Lauren(7).  What wonderful memories of convention 2009.  Maybe tomorrow, I will share what I won at convention this year!
