Another spoiler

First of all, for the ones that sent me emails or Facebook messages about my time at the arena last night, your words warmed my heart, so I survived the first night at the arena.  The girls did great!  I was also surprised at Megan, she was shaking of excitement when we got to the arena.  Seriously Shaking!  Like a demonstrator when we go to convention or leadership!  That is how excited she was.  And I was shaking too but shaking in a freezing way.  We got home and Jordan and I cuddled in bed and then I feel asleep.  So you can imagine that I wasn't really productive.  So today, I'm going to share my second spoiler card ( the first one from Stampin up! since we started the new catalog season is here.)  This one,  that I am showing today was sent by Shannon West and Amanda Romualdo, Stampin up staff.  As a demonstrator, I get excited just like Megan with her skating when I get a hand stamped card, especially when it's from Stampin'up! themselves.  It makes it so special that they even stamped the envelope:)

Speaking of Leadership if you are a demonstrator, we get to participate to Leadership in January depending on our title, doesn't it make you want to go! Ask me how!  We all need a little stamping and stampin up! events are the best.  I love watching it over and over and it is all Stampin up! staff!

So back to my card, isn't it pretty, the words inside are even better:)  You know I will keep it forever.  I really love the Pennant Parade and matching punch Pennants builder Punch.  One of the reasons that I joined stampin up is that lots and lots of product coordinate.  Actually there is a August special and it is FAB-U-LOUS, for me and for you too!!  When you buy 3 packages of paper you get to pick one for FREE! This promotion is only on for August – so shop soon so you don't miss out, I just stocked up on my beau chateau designer paper and will also stock up on Christmas and Halloween Paper too!  Which one will you stock up on?  Happy shopping:)

Shannon and Amanda's card uses :

Stamp set: School lines #122625, Pennant Parade #122740(w) #122742(c) ou en français Fanions en Fête #124835(w) #124837(c)

Ink:  Night of Navy #102977, Baja breeze #111833

Card stock and paper: Crumb cake cardstock #120953, Pocketful of Posies designer paper #122354, whisper white #100730

Not much time left

My 2 oldest daughters are gone for a week to summer camp, for the first time ever.  I thought to myself poor Jordan, what is she going to do without her sisters?  Well let me tell you she is having the time of her life!  She is loving the full attention.  From grandparents, cousins, friends, stamping friends and her parents.  Her mouth never stops.  She is taking this opportunity to be heard from everyone, even our dog Maya.  I am so happy that she is enjoying this special quality time.  It made me realize that I should plan special dates alone with each of my daughters.  On a side note, I am the one missing my girls, with the storms and rain we had in the last few days, I wonder if they are ok.  Megan is gone au camp de l'amitié a Val des Boies Quebec that is 2.5 hours away and Lauren is across the river au Centre Notre-Dame de la Rouge, in Quebec too, if I could drive our boat it's just in front of our house.  I would love to go snoop.

Speaking of time flying by, It's that time of year again! Registration is now open for Creative Escape Weekend Retreat Oct 21 – 23, 2011.   Summer is not over yet, but we know you are starting to think about the fall and how to set aside some time for yourself once all the routines start again! It’s fun to be spoiled

Happy Friday!  Even though I'm a demonstrator and make my own cards, I love receiving handmade cards in the mail.  Yesterday, I received two cards in the mail from Stampin'up!  and I wanted to highlight the first one today.  It came from DS, Carrie Horlacher sent me this beautiful card that I am going to case for sure.  And the sweet words she put inside truly made my day.  If you received an email from me this week inquiring address info, don't be surprise to receive a similar one, I hope I can make your day too:)  Carrie used lot's of my favorite products that add a vintage twist to the card.  I love the First edition designer paper because I can color it however I want.  One of my favorite punch is the postage stamp.  I also adore the vintage wallpaper embossing folder, it's perfect to add texture to the background of my cards.  And last but not least,  I love the 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon, sometimes I cut it in half and other times I like it in full like in this sample.  This ribbon comes in 11 colors, if you would like them all, I have a great proposition for you, scroll down this post and get to be part of Kim's ribbon Share!

Hostess Gift from Convention

Busy busy as a bee, as I was uploading pictures on my new computer, I realized that I have been very busy:  Convention, Vegas, Tony and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in July, finally had my open house with the launch of the new catalogue, we attended Tony's uncle's 60th birthday party and his cousin's wedding and I celebrated my birthday last Friday.  Thanks to all of you for posting happy birthday on Facebook.  Actually, if the Facebook wishes were stamped, handmade cards, I would have had 150 of them:) pretty impressive! On the downside, summer is half done and we haven't been around, Tony and I made a list of 30 things that needed to be done around the house.  We realized that our busy schedule was not going to cut it.  So my dad is helping us out and started today to do the things on the list.  I am so grateful and the girls are super excited that he's around too:)  I love watching the girls pitching around and helping him out.

I have so many projects that I want to show you.  Having all these events to attend in July made me stamp a lot. And now it's time to post some of them here.  First, I wanted to post my hostess box and matching cards that I presented at convention.  I created the box from a soap box from a hotel and just changed the size to fit a 3×3 card.  Simple Right?

If you would like one of these, there are 4 options to receive Kim's Hostess Set:

1- Book a Party with me

2- Place a online order with me + Bonus get VIP service

3- Join my team, I would love to share this opportunity with you

4- Place a comment on my blog and I will draw 1 of these

Good Luck!

Personally for this project I preferred using the marker because I colored in the images and left the bee out of the stamp set to replace it with a butterfly

Out with the old in with the new

I have organized a card swap with demonstrators and I also signed up for a swap with members who have earned the 2011 Alaska Cruise.  I must admit, it has been super fun to host the Summer Mini Card Swap. How cool to get a bunch of cards in the mail instead of bills!  One of the perks of being a demonstrator:)  If you would like to join my team of demonstrators, just ask me about my opportunity night!  Si vous voulez faire partie de mon équipe, faites moi signe et demandez moi à propos de ma soirée d'occasion!

My camera died on me this week, it's toast:( I took out an old camera so I can post for you today.  I don't want to rush my decision about a new camera but Tony and I would love to get a new one before the Alaska Cruise.  If you have any recommendations, please, please, please email me or post a comment on my blog.  Speaking of comments and emails, I have loved your support, have loved to read the emails about goals, about Jordan sleeping next to me while I stamp and that I should enjoy every moment ( you know I do), about what was Tammy's hair like before she cut it off and also about my projects.

Why is my title Out with the Old in with the New? It's because there is only 4 days left to purchase from the Occasion's Mini catalogue and then May 1st the Summer Mini Begins.  Here is my first project, one of my swaps:

While I was doing my Spring Cleaning, I found invitations that I had made for my Father In-Law's 60 birthday party. It was this template that I had used.  I loved it so much that when I saw the Sail Away stamp set it reminded me of the invitation I had once made for him.  We love boating and I am so excited to be able to create with this stamp set.  There will be many more projects to come with Sail Away!

I almost forgot, today is the last day to sign up for our Stamp & Stomp Cancer Fundraiser.

Products used:

Stamp set:  Sail Away #123013 (w), Sanded background stamp #109294, Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370 or in french Voeux Mignons #117989

Ink:  Crumb Cake #121030, Early Espresso #119670

Card stock and paper:   Nautical Expedition designer paper #122343, Early Espresso #119686, Crumb Cake #120953 & Very Vanilla #101650

Accessories and tools:  Early Espresso/White Baker's Twine #123124

ALL AVAILABLE TO ORDER ON MAY 1ST OR IF YOU ARE A DEMONSTRATOR YOU CAN PREORDER NOW!

Getting ready to say farewell

Sale-a-bration sale is almost over!  4 Days left.  I admit I used the Sale-a-bration stamp set Bliss or in french Joie, again and again.  It was my #1 favorite.  Had a workshop this morning, and this is one of the cards we made.  I did add a little preview from the next 2011-2012 Catalog, the four frames stamp set.  Also, there is only 1 month left for the Occasions mini, and we don't know if any of these products are coming back, most of them likely not!  So I have highlighting them, like the Rosettes!  One of my workshop attendees, Carmen said to me today that I should have been born in those "vintage"days.  She said she always can recall when it's a "Kim Card".  What is your style?  Tell me what do you like?  I think it will be one of my questions next month with my Downline.  I have used two backgrounds stamp set for this card.  Can you guess which ones they are?  I have a new favorite… Wonderfully Worn.  It creates these dots just like the spritzer tool :)

Here is a close up of the specs from the Wonderfully Worn Background.  Add this one on your wish list it's a must!

I also have been creating and prepping for our second Creative Escape Weekend and the projects are fabulous.  The sad part is that I cannot share with you until it's over.  But I designed 4 wowser scrapbook pages for attendees.  Also have created  a circle scrapbook in a box, a delicious &  rich color canvas, cupcake treats, fabric galore projects…  I can't wait to share with you after the retreat.

Products used:

Stamp set:  Four Frames #123442 (c) #123440 (w), Bliss SAB stamp set (w) #121851, (c) #123217 or Joie # (w) 123240 (c) #123242, Sanded #109294 and Wonderfully Worn#118533 background stamp

Smells like Spring

Although we are freezing here in Ontario, Canada, this morning it felt like spring in my studio.  I have been working on a few exciting spring events and can't wait to share them with you soon.  Mojo was on full swing this morning.  I have been trying to convince my husband Anthony for a sweet escape where it's a little warmer than here, but so far no luck!  Grrrrrr!  I don't know why, but the humidity in my bones is making me feel old:(  I cannot stand it.  Today, Megan had a drop in for skating and let me tell you it was colder in the arena than outside.  I have two new best friends, my Uggs boots and my North Face jacket!

Back to the stamping:)  I am going to share the instructions for the mini album this weekend, it's on my to do list.  I am so exciting it will be a video, my very first.  So stop by this weekend to view it.

I met with my stamp club members.  Here is what we came up for Rachel's grand-daughter Camélya for her 3rd birthday, this sweet birthday card and matching mini album.

I told you I was in a spring kind of mood!  Don't you love the color combo!  I love the Easter Blossoms stamp set as it has more than one use for it like a cute birthday card for Camélya!

We then worked on the mini album, how adorable, Grand-ma Rachel will be able add pictures of Camélya on the inside of her precious album.

Here is a video on how to make the album!

We had a great time creating it and today's stamping made it feel not so cold as my studio was warmed up with Spring colors and Love!  Have a great weekend and make sure to stop by for my first video!
