Christmas tags part two

I looked at my post this morning, wow was I sleepy when I wrote yesterday!  I said I had trouble creating the second tag.  I played a lot more.  I was determined to use my always artichoke big designer buttons.  I also liked the color combo of crumb cake, always artichoke, very vanilla and early espresso.  Reading this seems like I am talking about a recipe.  It's fun what stampin'up! can come up with for the names of ink colors! Here they are my second batch of Christmas tags.

I should be posting about Fall, Halloween, Back to school, but this is the mood I am in!  I will challenge myself.  Actually I am so due to create a scrapbook page for my daughters.

I have to say, looking at this picture, my waffle paper needs to be fixed.  It was pretty.  So if you get this swap from me, making sure it's all ruffled!

Shelli Gardner’s thank you card

You’ve got mail!  How fun to get a hand made card in the mail.  Better than bills, Right!  I received this beautiful, yet elegant thank you card from Shelli Gardner, co-founder and ceo of Stampin’Up!  It just made my day!  She sent it from Honollulu, Hawaii (probably from one of the workshops of a lifetime)  To read about my workshop of a lifetime click HERE.

Here is a list of supplies Shelli Used: Chocolate chip, Taken with teal, More mustard & natural ivory cardstocks.  She also used chocolate chip, taken with teal, more mustard and  sahara sand ink.  Stamp sets:  my favorite background stamp En Francais, Bella toille, oval all.  And the best part, she used a combination of alphabets to create the word thank.  How amazing is that!  Her alphabets used were:  lovely letters, wild west, varsity, schoolbook serif.  And finally dazzled this gorgeous card with a half pearl from the pretties kit. Voila!

I will place Shelli’s thank you card in my shadow box in my stamp studio, this way I can look at it, in times of inspiration.

***On another note:  Ready for some stamping and creativity!  I am half way booked for my 2nd annual Riverfrontstampin’retreat, technique class.(24 NEW techniques)  If you haven’t signed up yet, make sure to sign up now.  Before all the spaces are gone for good!

Have a great day!

Kimberly’s one layer card challenge

Published by under Cards,challenge

I have never participated in a card challenge before.  So I said to myself, Kim you can do this. (If I can win Shelli’s challenge, I can do this).   It was so much fun, I completed this card in 2 minutes.  I used a bunch of my favorite products:  En Français background, Elegance Trio stencils, a half pearl from the pretties kit and chocolate chip satin ribbon, and the color spritzer tool.  I also spritz a mixture of champagne shimmer paint  / rubbing alcohol and created a shimmer card.  You can’t see it on the picture but if you come to my studio, you can see how pretty it is!

In close up, you can see I stamped with the define your life alphabet.  A stamp set that you can get for FREE (value $63.95 )when you buy the starters kit before March 31st!  This is a super deal you won’t want to miss out!

 Happy Monday!
