The beginning of something good!

In January, when I attended leadership Stampin'up!, announce that we got to give one starter kit away, whoohoo!  The first person that popped in my head was Lucinda.  She is creative, inspiring and has the best of family and friends!  Today was her first workshop, I planned on supporting her every step of the way, which I did.  I was in charge of make and take for this one, but Lucinda is hosting again next Saturday and the cards are so beautiful:)  Her guests will be pleased.  She already has 2 additional bookings which makes me smile. I know she was the right person for this Free starter kit for so many reasons!  Also, she has a bunch of friends that are also creative and that can sew!  Some are quilters and I have to admit, I will want to attend those classes so I can learn also!

Here they are today, Stamping away and here is my make and take.

I featured the bliss stamp set that you can get for FREE with a $60 order!

I am placing an order on Monday, so if you would like to take advantage of sale-a-bration then simply email me your order.

Scrapbook Day!

I first wanted to thank all of you for being so supportive.  What wonderful comments for my first video of the mini album.  I was overjoyed!  Jordan will pick 3 names on Sunday, and 3 lucky people will get to have one of the albums!  I already know what my second video will be about!

Last weekend, I hosted a scrapbook day in our pj's, it was part 2, we made 10 pages.  We had part 1 in December. What a fun and relaxing day!  We chatted, ate, created, laughed and the best part is that I inspired a few to create, in fact one of my dear friend and demonstrator thanked me with a lovely email saying:  " I had rocked her world and helped her get her mojo back".  I love to help others and was so happy for her!   I also have to thank my helper Lysanne who mass produce lots of kits to go!  Here is a sneak peek of 4 of our projects.  Oh and I forgot to say, everyone brought a dish, it was so yummy!  Again, I am grateful for spending time with such wonderful people.

If you would like to take advantage of the kit to go, email me now!  I have a few put together + I am hosting the same class on a week night!

I also want to take this time to announce Part 3:  Vintage style!  I am hosting part 3 May 7th.  Email me to reserve your spot.

It's a short post today, as I am putting finishing touches for my classes at our creative escape retreat.  Can't wait to post sneak peek pictures about that(wink)!

have a wonderful weekend!

Smells like Spring

Although we are freezing here in Ontario, Canada, this morning it felt like spring in my studio.  I have been working on a few exciting spring events and can't wait to share them with you soon.  Mojo was on full swing this morning.  I have been trying to convince my husband Anthony for a sweet escape where it's a little warmer than here, but so far no luck!  Grrrrrr!  I don't know why, but the humidity in my bones is making me feel old:(  I cannot stand it.  Today, Megan had a drop in for skating and let me tell you it was colder in the arena than outside.  I have two new best friends, my Uggs boots and my North Face jacket!

Back to the stamping:)  I am going to share the instructions for the mini album this weekend, it's on my to do list.  I am so exciting it will be a video, my very first.  So stop by this weekend to view it.

I met with my stamp club members.  Here is what we came up for Rachel's grand-daughter Camélya for her 3rd birthday, this sweet birthday card and matching mini album.

I told you I was in a spring kind of mood!  Don't you love the color combo!  I love the Easter Blossoms stamp set as it has more than one use for it like a cute birthday card for Camélya!

We then worked on the mini album, how adorable, Grand-ma Rachel will be able add pictures of Camélya on the inside of her precious album.

Here is a video on how to make the album!

We had a great time creating it and today's stamping made it feel not so cold as my studio was warmed up with Spring colors and Love!  Have a great weekend and make sure to stop by for my first video!

Holiday Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek

Humm!  In the mood for a little teasing today!  I have been playing with my holiday mini catalog preorder.  This mini catalog becomes live for non-demonstrators on September 1st.  I do have a workshop tomorrow and we will be doing Christmas stuff.  Yes Christmas cards, pages in August.  So it put me in the mood to play with the Holiday Mini products.  I Love the new Christmas Collage Background stamp.  If you love making cards, background stamps are the basic of a great card.  I often use my background stamps that is why I keep them at reach.

Today's card is very simple:  I embossed gold embossing powder on the brush gold cardstock.  Don't forget to pass the embossing buddy on your cardstock to eliminate static and prevent little blotches of embossing powder in places you don't want.  I also used Bells & Boughs stamp set to add a greeting to the background stamp.  It was easy to place it in the square spacing because I used the clear set.

Waffle Paper is a must on your wish list,  it is so easy to play with.  I added sticky tape on the back and was able to position it like I wanted.

Then a little 2-way glue and added the Champagne glass glitter that Shelli gave us at convention.

Voila, so simple!  You can create a series of these alternating your colors:  cherry cobbler, very vanilla and brush gold cardstock.

Order your supplies starting September 1st  24/7 on line, if you are a demonstrator, you know you can order anything in the mini since August 1st.  Have you done your order?

Stamp set:  Christmas Collage #121279, Bells & Boughs # 120831 (w), 121142(c) also available in spanish

Cardstock:  Cherry Cobbler #,119685, very vanilla cardstock #101650, brushed gold cardstock #102935

Accessories:  Waffle Paper #120984, Glass Glitter in Champagne #120997, Gold embossing powder #109129

Adhesives:  2 way glue #100425, sticky tape #104294

Tools:  Heat tool #100005, embossing buddy#103083, powder pals #102197

Versamark #102283

Scrapbooking memories for Father’s Day

My Father's Day Page

Memories of my husband & my daughter Jordan, Old Orchard USA.  I took this picture while they where spinning in this big giant bear ride.

Well let me tell you I found a new addiction! Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It's in the new Summer Mini Catalogue.  This vintage Designer Series Paper has different glossy designs that can be magically revealed using 1) Smooch Spritz 2) Aqua Painter 3) Brayer or 4) Sponge and ink.  I love love love it… As much as my stencils which I use a lot!  The brown specs are smooch spritz in log cabin.  I recommend using the color catcher so you don't have smooch everywhere.

My close up reveals a light impression of colors because I used a sponge.  If you want a bolder look, then I would suggest a brayer.  If you notice on the right side of my picture, I also stamped Sense of time stamp set over my sponged image to create texture.

If you are coming to one of my clubs or Melissa's party on Monday you get to make one of these!

Then I added On Board Cog in chipboard.  And added some chocolate chip ink to it. I used chocolate chip instead of early espresso because my new catty order will only make it in Canada monday!

By the way, have you noticed something different from this page?

Stampinup! sent us some samplers of cardstock from the new 2010-2011 catalogue.  A wonderful perk from being a demonstrator.  I used cherry cobbler and early espresso.

Specialty Designer Series Paper #117175

Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin # 119921

Color Catcher # 121093

Cog # 117237

Sense of Time # 113804

Brayer # 102395

Sponge # 101610

And the new colors will be available to you July 1st unless you join today, then you get to preorder new 2010-2011 products this month!

Have a wonderful weekend!
