Overload bunny cuteness

I had the pleasure to host my monthly team meeting last week.  We were chatting so much that I forgot to take pictures… I designed an easy make and take for them.  What I loved best is that everyone added their twist to their project.  Once again, I forgot to take pictures of their designs before they left. If you follow me on instagram (riverfrontstampin) you were able to see my project as I posted the love notes and matching box there.  If you didn’t see my pictures, here is a series of pictures.

I love the succulent garden designer series paper.  It is perfect for Easter and spring projects.  I’m a gingham girl.  There are two different gingham sheets in the designer series paper package, 2 sheets of each color. These two were my favorite.  Plus, there is a load of different designs in the kit.  The coordinating ribbon is gorgeous.

To make my bunnies, I used the basket builder and coordinating basket bunch.  The best part was the tail.  I used the pompom trim ribbon to make the fluffy ball.  The list of products is identified below.

For a quick reference, I’ve added a list:

  • Basket builder framelits dies #143228
  • Basket bunch stamp set #143186
  • Succulent garden designer series paper #142778
  • Succulent Garden 3/8” ribbon combo Pack #142781
  • Whisper white mini pompom trim #141486
  • Sweet sugarplum ink pad #141395
  • Tip top taupe ink pad #138325
  • Whisper white card stock #100730
  • Linen Thread #104199
  • Mint Macaron 3/8” sheer linen ribbon #141656
  • Polka dot textured impressions embossing folder #133739
  • Scalloped tag topper punch  #133324
  • Pearl Basic Jewels #119247
  • Dimensionals #104430

The instructions to make the box are listed HERE.  The only difference with today’s box, I added a belly band with the succulent garden dsp.  My belly band measured 1” x 12’.  I wrapped it around the box.  It slides off easy if you add dimensionals to glue it down. To view measurements for the love notes and to make the cute tags on top, see instructions HERE.

Pour les clientes francophones, le jeu est disponible en français #143436 et pour le lot de panier de Pâques (jeu et poinçons framelits) #144732

Aside from prizes, recognition, we had yummy treats. Here's one of them! There's not a better feeling than a group of people getting together to stamp and have fun!

Order my banner calendar today

We are back from a fabulous holiday.  Turks and caicos was amazing.  After loads of laundry, I've taken the time to post this cutie.  It's perfect for your desk or your counter at home.  I saw one of the European demos post these cute frames and decided to customize mine.  I used the cupcakes & carousels suite from the holiday catalogue.  I couldn't think of a better collection to highlight important dates.  Here is a sneak peek part 1 of my cupcakes & carousels banner calendar. Guests that attend our occasion's event on February 18th will have the opportunity to sign up for this fun class.  There is still a couple of days left for you to join in on the fun.  Get the details HERE.

Below is a couple of banners that will be added behind the cover page of my banner calendar.   They will flip as the months change.

TIP:  Did you know that the carousel birthday stamp set coordinates with the up & away thinlits?  When used, you can punch out your cupcakes, icing and base:)

I truly adore the cupcakes and carousels suite.   The color combo is remarkable as well, it's a combination of Bermuda bay, calypso coral, early espresso, peekaboo peach, so saffron and very vanilla.  The cupcakes & carousels designer series paper stack highlights these colors and the designer did an amazing job at creating vintage designs for the paper.  I also adore the coordinating embellishments kit.  I also used this kit to decorate my banners. The collection also has card stock, coordinating stampin'write markers and the carousel birthday stamp set.  Check out the details of products of this fabulous  collection below.

Lift me up

It's the end of January and we haven't had lots of sun this past month. I can't think of a better stamp set than lift me up to lift someone's spirit. The possibilities are endless with this set. But for today, I picked a soft look for this design. The lift me up stamp set has a coordinating thinlits dies called up & away.  When bought as a bundle you save an extra 10%, item code # 144712 clear mount or wood mount #144711. This set is also available in French, "gentil remontant #143383" poinçons thinlits l'appel du ciel #142748. Ou le lot gentil remontant et économisez 10%, #144713.

I'm having like we call it in French "un coup de cœur" which means falling for something but in French it means much more… I've added the whisper white mini pompom trim, they make me smile, so adorable! My tiny bow comes from the baker's twine in Bermuda bay #134575. I also added a little foxy designer series paper #141637. It's a stack of 48 sheets 6×6.

If you search on Pinterest, you will find many colorful projects with this stamp set and it's coordinating dsp. The sale a bration catalogue has the coordinating designer series paper called carried away, #143608.

Some extra goodies from me:*** When you order in my online store, add hostess code: ZC7CZ4HE. This will give you an extra 5 samplers cards from occasion's catalogue products created by myself, mailed directly to you… If you join my team and purchase the starter kit: Receive 2 PDF's from my occasion's event…

I'd love for your to join my team!

Join The Fun

Is crafting a big part of your life? Do you want to earn money while doing something you love? How about the convenience of setting your own hours? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then Stampin' Up! is the perfect opportunity for you.

Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator means sharing your passion for stamping with family and friends, meeting new people, and building a great business doing so-plus, you get to set your own schedule!  Click HERE for all the details….

The starter kit is also a great opportunity to get $165 of products for $135 and during sale a bration, you get two bonus stamp sets of your choice.

I would love to share my story on why I joined:  In June 2006, I was a full time nurse & a mother of 3 beautiful girls.  I attended a workshop and fell in love with the products.  I was just returning to work from a maternity leave and wanted to get the products at a discount price to complete my daughters albums.  I was able to reduce my nursing hours and create  my own working hours.  I started hosting for my friends and over the years I hosted parties with people like you, strangers that became friends.  I have experienced all levels with stampin up:  Buying the kit for the discount=hobby demonstrator, hosting to family and friends=business demonstrator, making it part of my family income and being #3 Demonstrator in Canada in 2011 while having a large team of demonstrators = a leader demonstrator. With Stampin up!  There is a place for everyone…

Join my team by clicking here or email me with your questions. Not from Canada, ask me how to link you to a demonstrator in your country!

I wanted to show you highlights from my card.  Do you see that sparkle on the icing on the cupcake, it's a new product we carry in the annual catalogue called Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  It comes in gold #141898 and clear #141897.  It's a glitter pen for accenting stamped images.

A highlight of this product is that it is none messy… I get the glitter effect without having sparkles everywhere including my face 🙂

I've created two versions of the cupcake card.  This one above has more details… It includes extra ribbon and the new stitched shapes framelits dies #145372 that was sold out,  is back!!!!   Whoohooo!!!  When it sold out the first time in 2 weeks,  I wanted to cry… Now that it is back available, I ordered it and expedited the order to get it before they run out again.   Get yours today… #bestproductever.  It cuts thoughtfully stitched circles, squares and ovals in seconds with framelits dies and the big shot.

This version is simpler, less ribbon.  The up side to this is when creating simpler cards, you can duplicate them at a faster pace.

I have to say I adore my color combo.  All the details to the products used are listed below.    I also am loving the touches of textures stamp set.  It's so versatile. It's content has stamps that are perfect to use as backgrounds.  I hope you've enjoyed by birthday card.  Wishing youi a great evening, hope you stamp your heart out!

Happy New Year!

Wishing you a Happy New Year!  From the bottom of my heart, I would love to wish you health, peace, success, love and lots of stamping…  2016 had it's highs and lows and we are super excited for the new year to come.  I guess I never mentioned on my blog but the best 2016 highlight was when Chris proposed to me… So many emotions, he is such a romantic and traditional guy.  I'm very grateful and blessed for his love.  Therefore, 2017 will bring on a wedding and a name change.  Can't wait to start the prepping and to become Kim McGillis… We are planning a family trip shortly with all our children and then I will start with the wedding planning… I promise to post about it.

We put all our holiday decorations away today.  We were super productive therefore I only had time to create a 5 min easy card… This card includes products from 3 catalogues, The holiday catalogue that is retiring this week, the new occasion catalogue that starts on January 4th and the Annual catalogue.  I will list all the products below.  The color combo of very vanilla, basic black and gold was perfect for a a New Year's card.

I wanted to highlight the new star blast edgelits dies from the occasion catalogue.  This edgelit also has a coordinating stamp set called Birthday Blast #142866.  If you would like to receive the new Occasion catalogue, please don't hesitate to email me.

The greeting comes from the stamp set It's a Celebration from the holiday catalogue.  I adore the gold sequin trim.  It's 1/4" wide and is perfect to highlight a straight line to my project.  The sequin comes from the annual catalogue and it's available in 4 colors:  bermuda bay, blushing bride, gold, silver.

Tip of the day:  Did you know that stampin up designs most designer series paper double sided and that one side is designed to be used all year long.  For instance, This Christmas Specialty designer series paper is not only used for Christmas, it's opposite side is perfect for all year round stamping projects… I love how the music notes are coordinating with my card today and I can promise that I'll be using this paper for my valentine projects as well.

So hard to let go

I hope you've enjoyed your holidays. I've taken some time off and it feels wonderful. When Stampin'up releases the retiring list of products from a catalogue, I always cringe my teeth… I have trouble letting go of my retired favorites… I use to keep them anyway but now I only keep a selected few… Being a demonstrator for over 10 years has made my stash of SU products pretty big. If I kept all my stampin products, I would need to upgrade the size of my craft room… Us demonstrators have great perks, like free goodies, bonus and a discount on our products, hence the reason I have a great and big supply of goodness… You might want to check in during the Sale-a-bration period that starts on January 4th, the starter kit has a great deal going down…  There has never been a better time to join either for the discount or to start your own business.

The holiday catalogue is coming to an end on January 3rd, just like the holiday are almost over.  I've shifted from making holiday projects, to winter projects… I'm loving the Mountain Adventure stamp set… This is one stamp set that I'm keeping in my retired stash… Skiing is a big part of our family activities and I know this set will be useful for a very long time.  I've design this scrapbook page below for my January scrapbook club, if you would like to attend, I'm hosting on January 11th.  If you live too far then take advantage of my kit to go.  The kit to go includes the Mountain Adventure stamp set.  You have until January 3rd to sign up.

I wanted to include so many pictures… There wasn't enough space for my journaling.  To resolve this issue, I added flip pockets to incorporate my journaling. The linen thread kept the pockets closed.  Another idea would be to use magnets…

The embellishments from the holiday catalogue were pretty amazing as well.  I love glittery things.  The tins of tags project kit includes these star and circle sequins.  I added them using the Fine tip glue pen.  I also added white mica flakes to my mountains.

Here is a view of the inside of my pockets.  I stamped the inside and colored the stamp images with my new watercolor crayons that are coming in the new occasion catalogue.  This is one of the perks of being a demonstrator, we can pre order the new goodies from the next catalogue. If you don't have the new crayons, you can use the ink off of your ink pads.  I just press my ink pad down so the ink transfers to the inside of the lid.

On my previous post, I talked about how much I love the large letters framelits. This time I embossed my letters with softly falling textured impression embossing folder.  Adding texture to the letters made the title pop out.  I also added more white mica flakes…

Tip: When I want to display a scrapbook page, I get a 12×12 canvas at my local craft store and mount the page to it.  It's perfect for wall art or even to display on a shelf.  This page will make it to my scrapbook wall for sure… The color combo is perfect for my display area.

Botanical blooms love <3

I am loving the botanical blooms bundle from the occasion catalogue. Yesterday I shared how the dots were created on my cards. But I also loved the die cut flowers. The botanical builder framelits dies #140625 are great to layer images to create unique flowers or use individual images as fun accents.

You can purchase the coordinating botanical blooms photopolymer stamp set #140757.

If you love the botanical blooms collection, why not get the botanical blooms photopolymer bundle which includes the stamp set, framelits dies and the botanical gardens designer series paper #140819. You save 15%. It's an amazing deal.

The botanical blooms framelits really make pretty detailed flowers. Don't miss out before the occasions catalogue is retired and get your botanical blooms collection today. You can order directly on my online store
