Work in Progress

A few days ago, I showed you my Holiday Advent Calendar, if you missed it you can view it HERE.  Well, I decided to adventure myself in completing a Halloween Advent Calendar.  Here is the first step, you will want to come back later this week to see the end result.  I am planning on making lot's of Halloween treats that we can display in our Home.  Plus we are hosting a Halloween Party and I also want to work on our invitation.  I do promise to show you.

Decorating my Halloween Advent Calendar:

Step 1:  Apply Tombow glue on the Chunky Frame.

Step 2:  Apply 1 sheet of Pick Your Poison designer paper.  I have to admit it brakes my heart knowing that most of this designer paper will be covered with the Peekaboo frames.  But the outcome will be wonderful with the 31 days of Halloween.

Step 3:  Sand the designer paper even to the frame so it doesn't overflow on the sides.

Step 4:  Cut out 4×4 opening with Exacto knife.

Step 5:  Apply pick your poison Quick Accents around the 4×4 opening.

Actually, l love the frame itself, but when I started applying the 31 days of Halloween, I knew it's going to be even better.

Supplies used to make my Advent Calendar :

Clearance Rack:  Chunky Frame # 117599

Card stock and paper: Quick Accents Pick your Poison #124263, Pick your Poison designer Paper #124001

Adhesive:  Tombow glue #110755

I'm hoping to have it all completed by tomorrow, especially if my goodies from the clearance rack arrive on time today:)

Birthday Organizer

I am so excited to share my first of top 10 gift ideas for the holidays.  A hand made gift is a gift that comes from the heart.  I love to shower gifts to people that have touch me one way or another.  Plus, I was looking for a way to organize birthday's for people that are special to me.  I finally found a concept that is great to organize birthday's.  Seriously it was in our Stampin'up! Catalog on p.181.  It's the birthday Calendar available in english or en francais, Calendrier des anniversaires.  Of course mine is decorated with the beau chateau designer paper to match my studio.  But guests will be able to decorate it in the designer paper of their choice.  I will use 4 different stampin'write markers to register my special birth dates.  Marina mist for demonstrators on my team, Soft Suede for my customers, Early Espresso for family and pretty in pink for special people that have touch me one way or another.  So at the end of every month, I will look at the next month coming and if there are 6 birthdays during that month.  I will stamp my birthday cards and organize them to mail out.  Behind every month will be a pocket holder to place my cards awaiting for postage.

This album includes the 12 months and measures 5 1/2" x 14"

Tomorrow night a couple of guests are coming to decorate this wonderful calendar.  I still have 3 spots left so you can join us if you want.  Demonstrators are welcome too:)
Can't Make it, book your own party and let's get together to make this great holiday gift idea with your girlfriends.

Class includes:  Birthday Calendar, assorted designer paper, assorted ribbon and other embellishments.

When: September 29th at 19h30 pm

Where: Kim's studio

Cost:  25$ or 1/2 price with a 50$ order or FREE with a 75$ order

Ice Cream Social Club

Megan has been asking me for a kids scrapbooking class for the longest time.  Today was our first class and let me tell you we had full house in the studio.  Megan did most of the cutting, punching pieces out and assembling the kits.  She wanted to take charge.  She called a few friends and had a full table of her own to teach them while I helped out at the other two tables.  She is truly inspiring and for sure a future demonstrator.  She has all the qualities:  she placed calls to invite her guests and had 7 just by herself.  That's pretty exciting.

We made a card and magnetic book mark to encourage the girls to read Stampin'up! Style, we also made a mini scrapbook album, played bingo and finished the day with ice cream.

Here are our projects.  The card was a swap from convention and I love how I could make a book mark out of it.

Here is the inside of the mini album.

Bingo stamp #120851 is a hit.  Today we used itty bitty bits to stamp on the inside.  Next month we will be using Spooky Bingo bits.

Kids from 6 to 12 came to our Ice Cream Social Club and they were all capable of making the projects.  Bingo was a hit! and they love Memento mall prizes:)

If you know a child that would love to scrapbook, email me as next month is our Halloween Ice Cream Social.  Come with your Halloween Costume, play fun games and make Halloween projects.  Details below:

Christmas in September

Home Sweet Home!  This Founder's trip rocked my world.  I was spoiled like I have never been all week long, Stampin up! surely takes care of us demonstrators & most of all, I met the best of friends and miss them already.  Although our flight was seriously delayed, I got home at 3 am.  My husband is the best, he cooked meals for the week and did all the laundry.  I think it's safe to say that I could leave on another trip.  I had nothing to do today, so blessed to have him, love that he is so understanding & that he supports my business.

Some of you had voted a card from my Christmas in September class for my Swaps For Founder's.  Thanks to my daughters and helper Lysanne, we were able to make 125 full cards.  I have received some emails about the class to go or pdf.  I will respond to you early this week.  Pdf will be available on Monday and I will email you full details.  If you live close and missed the first opportunity, this similar class will be available on two occasion:

Day 1 evening/ Day 2 at Founder’s

When I left you on my last post, I was going for dinner.  I did find my 5 teammates.  Our team was called The Brits.  Here we are:  Joanne Rolston, Jo Golden, Meg Loven, Diana Gibbs, me and Josee Smuck.

Look what was awaiting at my seating.  We each got a beautiful teacup with flowers and a beau chateau mds name tag.  What a great idea.

When I got to my room, I received this pillow gift filled with products, some were new and we can't share them yet because they are not available to you and will only be available in the 2012 Occasion mini.  But I can share you a card from make and takes that uses one of the stamp sets.

Here is one of the make and takes from Founder's

Then yesterday was Day 2, it was a day where we could do whatever we wanted.  I decided to join 11 demonstrators and we went to explore the Narrows in Zion National Park, which was amazing.  I can't wait to share pictures when we receive our cd from the guides.

In the evening there was share night in our pj. + swaps exchange.  I never saw such a long line to exchange cards.  It took the enter hotel.

I will post later, can't wait to share with you the journal that I received.  It's 6h30 am and I'm getting ready to go to Kanab to visit where they make the stamps.  I hope you are enjoying my posts.  I always wanted to know what founder's was about.  And now that I'm here, I wanted to share with you in case you wondered.

Have a great Friday,

Scrapbooking Memories

So we are in the 2nd week of school for the girls.  Routine is settled, which puts a big smile on my face.  Meals are organized, I know the girls' after school activity schedule and the best part is that you get to come to my Fall classes, workshops etc.  We have a beautiful catalog and Holiday Mini Catalog and it has inspired me to create great memories for my family.  One of the projects that I created a few weeks ago is a mini 6×6 album for Jordan.  Why Jordan?  because she is my youngest, the one that I still have the power to dress up cute.  With Megan and Lauren, I don't stand a chance!  I created this special album for Jordan and am going to add a picture of every year since her birth.  The Beau Chateau collection is perfect for her.  I can think of events, clothes and memories that will match this collection.  I can't wait to share with you a few pages in the next few weeks.

So here she is, proud moment for her because she lost her first tooth before her first day of school and finds it really cool.  On the other hand, I am trying to grow her bangs and she refuses to tie them up.  So I don't know how long I'm going to last without cutting them:)

Here is some of the cute ruffles that I have been taking about.  First day back from school!

I love how the ribbons, pink bauble, paper and album coordinate so well together.  If I had left over fabric from the beau chateau collection #122336, I would have used it for sure.

Do you wonder why this album is so appealing to the eye. One of the great rules for scrapbooking is that you need to add elements in a triangle.  On my album, your eyes are drawn to the butterfly, bunched up ribbon and the word memories from the album.

Supplies used to create Jordan's 6×6 album :

Stamp set: Calendar Alphabet & Numbers #111610

Ink:  Soft Suede #115657

Card stock and paper: Beau Chateau designer paper#122357

Accessories and tools:  Beau Chateau 6×6 album #122468,1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon in pretty in pink #119775, Pink pirouette 3/8"Taffeta ribbon #122981, 1/2" Scallop dots ribbon in Pretty in Pink #124141 and Marina Mist #122986, Victoria 5/8" crochet trim #118481, Linen Thread #104199, Pink Crystal 5/8" simply adorned bauble (my fav) #121013, On Board Merry Medley chipboard to cover my butterfly #122958, Basic Pearls #119247

Have a great weekend

Here are a few products to highlight:  The quick accents Pick your poison is great, it's a creepy self adhesive accent to add to any projects and then I just stamped the skeleton from the Piece of Poison.  I also love Pick your poison designer paper, it is stunning when you see it "live".  It will make great Halloween scrapbook pages.  And the best part is you can also order digital downloads for Halloween:  there is Pick your Poison Embellishments #125614 and Piece of Poison stamp brush set #125607.  Did you like how I stashed my candies.  The cello bags are wonderful for that and to punch out a window to showcase them is great too.  Full instructions on how to make these HERE.

Have a great day, for some of you it's the first day back to school!

Celebrating Little To Big Accomplishments

Thursday evening, I hosted my regular monthly team meeting but also added my awards night for my Cupcake Cuties team members.  They are partly responsible of who I am today!  And I truly appreciate their friendships.  I recognized all my cupcake cuties.  I also recognized my Top 3 demonstrators in Sales and Recruiting.  Here they are Kareen Fillion-Aubut from Matane, Quebec.  So happy she was here and did the long drive to be with us. Si vous êtes dans la région de Matane, Kareen sera la personne à voir pour vous conseillez avec les produits Stampin up!  et elle offre de fabuleuses classes.  I also recognized Roselyn Denis from Hawkesbury.  She has been wonderful offering classes in Hawkesbury and Ottawa.  And last but not least Manon Parent from Hawkesbury also,  Une autre perle rare.  She works so hard and I give her the toughest challenges and she delivers.  I am so proud of all my Cupcakes and can't wait to see what our new year brings.

Roselyn, Kareen & Manon
