As I am typing this today, I need to wipe a few tears.  While I was on the Alaska cruise, I found out that two of my coworkers (mother and daughter) had just lost a little angel.  Jenna was expecting and at birth a twist of events took for the worst and her baby girl Piper past away.  I work mainly with Jenna's mother Cathy. Cathy is an amazing woman that helps families out with our Healthy Babies, Healthy Children program.  She is one of the most devoted person that has a really tough job.  I wasn't there to support them through this tough and unexplainable ordeal.  When I got back from the incentive trip, I went to see Cathy and supported her.  While we shared tears, there is one thing that I couldn't shack off.  Cathy said:  "  The hardest part was when Jenna was saying, I'm afraid to forget her Mom".  That is when I knew what I could do for Cathy, Jenna and her family:  A Mini Album of Piper, so Jenna could remember her forever:)

I made her a 20 page album with the Love birds simply scrapping kit #118707 and today we added the photos.  And decided to add 18 more since it was so hard to choose.  Jenna will remember Piper for ever.  I am truly grateful that I could help her preserve those memories.  This is one of the reason why I love being a demonstrator!

So tonight please do one thing for me.  Hug your kids super tight and cherish those special moments with them.

It's been great, we decided to head to Seattle one day earlier.  Seattle is beautiful, as I sat outside x 1 hour while Tony was napping.  I enjoyed sipping ice tea and watch the people go by.  I can't remember the last time I did this.  I have to say, I'm in love…Seattle is breathtaking, the fresh market was so fun, from organic foods, to fresh fish and flowers to artsy pieces, it was all so amazing.  People here seem so relax, seeing ladies biking with a cute basket in from of their bikes makes me want to get one of these.  Lot's were walking their dogs, jogging… It seems as there is no stress here.  As I chatted with local people, the weather is out of it's normal pattern.  We just had sunshine and normally it rains.  So nice to sit outside at the park and just enjoy the view.

Here is a picture of our ship.  We left yesterday, and we are at sea today.  As always, Stampin'up! as already spoiled us so so much. I know this photo needs a little photoshop but I was so excited when we went to Pike Place Market and I got to see our ship awaiting.

Now for my journal that I presented at Marlayne's.  Here it is.  Love that I didn't need to add to much.  The Nautical paper was so gorgeous on it's on. As I mentioned yesterday, I was the guest speaker at Marlayne Hardy's event.  I focus on the nautical theme and have to say it's a great theme for a birthday party.  What to focus on when getting ready for a party?

I have organized a card swap with demonstrators and I also signed up for a swap with members who have earned the 2011 Alaska Cruise.  I must admit, it has been super fun to host the Summer Mini Card Swap. My camera died on me this week, it's toast:( I took out an old camera so I can post for you today.  I don't want to rush my decision about a new camera but Tony and I would love to get a new one before the Alaska Cruise.  If you have any recommendations, please, please, please email me or post a comment on my blog.  Speaking of comments and emails, I have loved your support, have loved to read the emails about goals, about Jordan sleeping next to me while I stamp and that I should enjoy every moment ( you know I do), about what was Tammy's hair like before she cut it off and also about my projects.

While I was doing my Spring Cleaning, I found invitations that I had made for my Father In-Law's 60 birthday party. This past weekend I attended my first fair. I will not call it a craft fair since it was a show for women!  Yes Women Can! in Vankleek Hill.  There was all kind of goodies just for women.  I had to refrain from buying all the exciting goodies.  I took last week to organize retired products from previous years and brought with me basically half of my studio!  Yes my studio is a mess right now but it was worth it!  I had a great time:  I reconnected with women I use to work with at the hospital, high school friends, family… 

Hairdressers were in the next booth, doing makeovers and my sweet helper & dear friend Tammy decided to join the fun. "see picture below".  I also presented Stampin'up! projects on main stage, it was amazing and fun.  The next booth, had a lady that read cards, you know the kind that talk about the future.  I was too scared to go but Tammy did.  She was all for it, the short haircut and a trip to the future. 

One of the best part, which made me ROFLOL was my second helper, my sweet husband Anthony, ( I should have taken a picture) women were so surprised to see a Man there.  He was covering my booth with Tammy and Megan while I presented on main stage. Although he didn't stay too long at the booth, right Tammy?  I guess he felt uncomfortable, he supported me during my presentation and after left for another event in a close by town. Could you blame him?  What a sport for enduring comments from the ladies.  In some, I can't wait  to participate in this event again. Sadly, they only host every 2 years:( It was a busy yet fun event!

I'm especially excited about our fundraiser event. Join us, Thursday May 5th, for our fundraiser event, Stamp & Stomp Cancer.  The Cancer foundation is close to my heart.  My dear friend and coworker was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 29 this past January.  As you might be aware, I am also a nurse at the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.  My office coworkers and I would love to walk in the honor of Geneviève, and fight with her this disease.  Geneviève is a strong women and a breeze of fresh air in the Hawkesbury office.  We miss her lots while she is fighting this horrible disease. She has shown us courage, strength and is so passionate and caring with her clients at work and at home with her family including her baby daughter…  We miss her smile… when Geneviève is working, the office feels warmer!

So that's why I've chosen to do a fundraiser for the Cancer Foundation. I'm hoping that you will come and have lots of fun with us while we support a fantastic cause.  You probably know someone who is fighting cancer right this minute, so invite your family and friends to this wonderful event.

Last night I hosted in my studio the canvas class that I had created for our guests at our Creative Escape Weekend Retreat.  What I love about classes in my studio, is that I am able to let my guests change the color of card stock, stamp… Here is one canvas from one of my guests Lynn Berthiaume Groulx.  She did a fabulous job, who would have thought Early Espresso and Certainly Celeri, just love it!!!  She dedicated her canvas to her two babies Roxy and Willow!  They are so precious!

Although Lynn is an excellent scrapbooker, joining one of my classes to create a canvas doesn't mean you need to be a scrapbooker or card maker.  I also love to make home decor projects.  You should join me for my next home decor class in May!

This butterfly die was used more than enough during our creative escape weekend.  I am sure we have attendees that have added it to their wish list!

I am leaving you today with a few pics of Jordan.  She doesn't like sleeping in her bed since the wind from the River makes a "funny noise" on her window.  She says it scares her.  I know I know I shouldn't endure her excuses.  This past week, I have been busy in the studio, getting ready for our retreat.  Jordan placed two mats on the floor and in two minutes she feel asleep with Maya.  It was a quick way for her to fall asleep.  Now she wants to do this all the time.  Here is a pick from last night.  I do bring her back in her bed and she says she enjoys staying extra minutes with me while her big sisters are already sleeping!  I have to brake this bad habit, I know:)  The joys of parenting!
