Stamping vs Gym

Monday is the day I play in my studio all day:)  I had promised myself that I would focus again on clean eating and exercising.  After all, when I go for a run, that is where I do my best thinking.  BUT it's snowing here and very wet so I decided to head for the studio and create all day:)  + it didn't help that I ran out of batteries for my camera and headed for the corner store and then Nibs candy were calling me. So I went back home and played some more.  I decided to make myself a journal so I can track my exercising and eating habits.  + I created lots more projects with the new paper Paisley petals and Four frames stamp set from the 2011-2012 collection.  It was awesome, I did create a mess on my counter but it was a good decision to pick creating vs the gym.   I will probably go for my run this evening or even go to a Zumba class as my friend Veronique has been trying to get me there for months!

It is so not me to choose green as a journal.  The Paisley petals designer paper has so many coordinating colors:  Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, River Rock, Soft Suede & Tangerine Tango.  But this color combo was calling me.

I had lots of fun making this personal journal and can't wait to start tracking my progress.  This paper and stamp set will be available for you soon ( there is a fabulous promotion coming your way)  Check back this week to see other awesome projects made with this collection.

I’m back

Yes I did win over my husband. We went to Mexico with the kids.  It was the best family time ever:)  I so needed to stop time and enjoy the kids as they are growing way too fast.  No snow for a week was lots of fun.  Walking in my flip flops was the best.  The girls did ask Tony if we could stay longer, sadly the answer was no:(

I was so honored to be nominated as a stylish blogger award by so many of you and will past it on to my favorite blogs before the weekend, I promise!  Mostly, I was honored to be selected from Shelli Gardner as a winner for her Sale-a-bration creative challenge :)   When I arrived home from Mexico, I received the best welcome home email!  Shelli chose my project, thanks Shelli, these challenges keeps us inspired.  I promise to share by the end of the day.  So much to do, I am rested and pumped and ready to create!

Hugs,

Time flies…

Yes I made it through the lady Gaga concert.  I only have two comments: 1) good thing we didn't bring any children 2) it was interesting and different.  I did have an awesome time with my girlfriends, dinner was great and our drive in the chocolate chip limo was perfect.

This week got me thinking that time flies. I was walking with Jordan and our dog Maya to the mailbox (we have an extremely long driveway) and we had a grown up conversation.  I realized that in exactly 4 months, she will be 6 years old, yes 6, my baby:(

Exactly 1 year ago today, Shelli and Sara were in my house for my workshop of a lifetime.  It got me reflecting of my stampin'business and how it makes me smile everyday + how I have grown from a hobby demo to a business demonstrator this past year!

I believe that sometimes, it's good to stop time and reflect on goals and dreams:)  Jordan and I shared dreams.

Here is a page from one of my classes.  She was just a baby then, only 9 months old.  If you would like to attend one of my scrapbook classes why not try coming on March 22nd.  See my classes for details.

This pages uses the bliss stamp set from the sale-a-bration mini.  You get this set free with a 60$ order.  Also I highlighted my title BLISS with a beveled windowpane from the occasion mini #121881.  These come in 3 sizes and there is 12 in a package.

Spring cleaning continues…

By saying I will post, you are really pushing me to clean up my studio.  Thank you for all the compliments, and suggestions.  I have already changed a few things.  There was also so many questions, ranging from paint color, where I got my pieces of furniture, to where I got my vintage coffee cups…  You have to take in considerations that I have been a demonstrator x 4 1/2 years and a stamper since Stampin'up! has started in Canada.  Some of the pieces I bought on my own, some are in storage for a dear friend and the rest of them, my husband bought for me on different occasions like Christmas and my birthday etc.  He owns a construction business in Toronto, well actually Mississauga, Ontario and when December comes, I go with him to the big city for his staff's Christmas party and one of my first stop is Pottery Barn:)

This is my favorite Stamping spot!  It gets crazy messy.  Actually, I haven't seen it look like this in a long time!  In the summer I get the Ottawa river view!  Right now, it's a view of ridiculously huge snow banks:(  Anyway, it's the perfect spot to create!  In my baskets, I store all my products.

On the opposite side is where I store all my big shot dies, I love that stampin up has added these box for die storage.  They come in 3 different sizes:  Small die box #122219, Medium die box #122220 and Large die box #122221

I found this vintage piece of furniture and it's one of my favorites in my studio.  Right now it stores my clear stamp sets but my goal is to display my 3D creations.

I hope you are enjoying part two, of my stamping space. You can view part one here.  I still have 2 more spots to share, one is where my guests and downline stamp and the other is my office.  My office is the worst place.  I am so not good with paperwork. Maybe you should give me a few suggestions on how to get organized there, Pretty please…

My friend Veronique came to stamp with me this afternoon.  We came up with a beautiful gift for a dear friend of hers with a matching card.  I can't wait to share with you tomorrow.

If you would like to stamp with me, book a party with your friends or check out my class schedule,  or join my team and you can attend my classes and monthly meetings, I would love to stamp with you!

Blog candy winner & Canvas class sign up

I wanted to draw the names of the winners of the mini album on Sunday but our day was filled with lots of things to do + I had promised Jordan that she would pick names out of a hat.  Jordan fell asleep after dinner which is not her normal self.  She is the youngest but normally the last to fall asleep.  I blame it on being the third child and not having as much a routine as the others.  See, as a baby, she got to spend evenings in the arena where Lauren and Megan would skate.  And as a toddler she got to love spending some time with my stamping guests and today, she still likes to come and chat with the ladies.  Sometimes, makes us laugh, the comments that come out of this child's mouth is hilarious! And on other occasions, it scares me, what is she going to say next?  Like the stories she shares about our dog, Maya!

So it's Monday morning and the first thing we did is draw names.  I would like to announce the winners of the 3 mini-albumsRoselyn, Annick, Mary S.  I don't have your last names on the post.  Please email me your postal info!  Congrats and thanks to everyone for the lovely comments & support.

I also wanted to clarify that Marlayne shared with me this valentine mini album but the initial designer was Julie Buhler.  So thank you Julie.  Her measurements are a  little different and the concept but this is the beauty of the mini album, you get to make it and create it as your own:)

I'll be sharing again later today, it's a snow day the kids are home so my schedule is a little off but the view from my stamp room is amazing!

What’s the most popular sale-a-bration product?

It's snow day, so I'm home with the kids.  The girls are cleaning their stamp/playroom.   One of these days, I'll need to figure out how to do a video and give you a tour of our stampin'Kingdom.  I'm embarrassed to say that theirs looks much better then mine right now.  Megan is making some bookmarks with leftover valentine paper from last year for all her schoolmates.  We still have to figure what we will do for the boys!

I am having a fun day.  I'm planning a wonderful project for Melissa's chicks and chocolate party tomorrow night.  (Picture below)  If you would like to join us, email me! Class is 20$ or 25$ if you want 20 pieces of antique brads included.

This afternoon, we are heading to the physio as Megan injured herself.  Please pray for her.  She has been training since summer for this important  EOSIC competition on Friday in Toronto.  Poor girl, she is trying to pretend all is good because she doesn't want to miss the event.  It makes me feel so sad for her, as a nurse and especially a mom, I need to remind her that even though she has been working so hard, and put her heart and soul into preparing for this competition that we might not be able to go and that her health is much more important.

Now, have you guess which product as been most popular in the sale-a-bration brochure?

It's the Punch Bunch stamp set #123211 (c) #121847(w) or in french: Perfo à gogo #123237(c) #123235(w), in spanish, Perfora y decora: #123252(c) #123250(w).  If you have all the coordinating punches, it's so fun and easy.  You just need to stamp and punch.  Which punch coordinates?:  Two-Step Owl, Scallop square, 1 3/4" Scallop circle large tag, 1" circle punches.

Here is my card:

Love the seam binding, if you pull on the thread this is what it does!

Leadership Make & Take #5

Although I didn't accomplish my entire list of things to do yesterday, today was another productive day.  I am so embarrassed to say that WE STILL HAD OUR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS UP!  Is anyone else in the cyber word in the same position as I am?  So embarrassed!  I never remove them before January 1st because it saddens me too much.  The house is so warm and inviting with our Christmas decorations and January is so cold here, in Canada.  So I try to keep them a little longer to keep the warmth inside.

Then I got busy with leadership preparations, and didn't remove them.  This week was also busy and I hosted my first sale-a-bration workshop.  So today, my dear husband helped me and we got them down.  Although the house feels a little empty, I'll try to find and make a few decorations for valentine's day.

Today, I'll be sharing Make & Take #5 and tomorrow the last make & take + the bonus my digital studio card we received from our MDS class at leadership.  It was hosted by Sara Douglass.  I have been using the program lots, but this class was refreshing and I learned two new things that I can implement in the future.  I wish that class was a little longer.  If you have mds do not forget to update your downloads.  Also, during sale-a-bration starting the January 25th, if you order for 60$, you get to receive free downloads!!!

Leadership day 3, a bittersweet ending!

Yesterday was Day 3 for leadership in Nashville.  This year we had pins with different SU colors for prize patrol, although I didn't win for prize patrol, I love my early espresso pin.  What happens at prize patrol?  If you had the pin they announce, you would win a gift.  What made it extra special, Shelli came to our classes  to announce the winners.  It was fun, spontaneous and exciting.  Here she is, at my class.

There was two Main stage sessions.  Love Bonnie's presentation, she focus on the sweet stitches collection from the Occasion Mini.  Here is one of the projects she made.  Wouldn't you want a gift similar to this?  Why not book a workshop with me?

There were more announcements on main stage, Stampin up  is having a Regional in Montreal on April 1st and 2nd for half days and I have another announcement in particular that you are going to love, but I won't share today:)  The day ended with Make and Take session for all 1000 demonstrators together, more shopping at Memento Mall games and fabulous decorations.  I'll be sharing the make and takes tomorrow.  I haven't finished them all but all I have to say is they were the best Make and take ever.  I can't wait to show them at my next workshop.

I love leadership:  the business tips, get together, friendships old and new ones, the pampering, entertaining and I can go on and on.  It was a bittersweet ending, I didn't want to say goodbye but couldn't wait to get back to my family.  Even though I slept maybe 2 hrs, I wanted to be home around noon today to see my family.  Tonight, Lauren is singing at church and I didn't want to miss out.  I might be a little tired but it's all worth it:)

Check back tomorrow for make and takes and more:)  Oh and if you wonder where the next Leadership is?  San Antonio Texas January 18th to 20th 2012.  I can't wait.  Email me if you want to come with me next year, I will coach you on what it takes to get there!
