Yes I'm back! Haven't stamped or posted on my blog in such a long time.  I need to remove the spider webs on my emails, stamp studio, computer…  Well sometimes life throws you a lemon… but great people help you turn it into lemonade!  Thank you to all my great people, you know who you are!  Here is an update on the Assaly's.  Megan had her confirmation on Sunday, it's her last year before she leaves for intermediate school.  So it's a busy year.  Lauren celebrated her 10th birth anniversary.  Jordan is Jordan! She's great!  Report cards are in and fabulous!  I have been the taxi driver to dancing, skating and basketball.  Tony is still super busy with his businesses.  I just finished the flu clinics.  And I'm so proud to tell you that I have been running 6k daily and am back to my pre-crafting weight and I feel great.  Haven't been in that good of a shape in ages.  Let's just hope I can keep it up!  I'm starting to get into the Christmas groove and can't wait to share!

It's tradition for me to decorate my linen album when I host a technique class or a scrapbook class.  This will be one of my favorites for sure. Once again I used the spice cake designer paper#124003!

It's Thanksgiving in Canada.  I am so grateful for my family, my friends and you!  We give thanks for all the wonderful things that have blessed us in the last year.  Here is a card dedicated to you.  I used one of the techniques from a previous technique book that I had done.  I love to host my technique day twice a year.  And in November will be hosting the next one.  If you would like to join us I have a few spots, simply email me.

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  We went apple picking with the girls at Les Vergers Lafrance, St-Joseph du Lac, Quebec, surrounded ourselves with wonderful friends and had dinner with them and the kids.  I managed to go for 2 runs outside, in 26 C degrees in October!  Total bliss!   Weather like this never happens this time of year in Canada!  How wonderful!

Seeing Megan in this picture reminds me of the the apple picking tradition we started when she was not even 1 year old.

My poor sweet husband, he did a major workout on this trip as no ladders were found.  Lauren sure enjoyed being in Daddy's arms.

And Jordan, she did more apple eating than picking.

This past Saturday, I hosted my semi-annual Holiday technique retreat.  It was a fabulous day full of surprises.  The day started with a light snow fall, which cause a local driver to have an accident near my house.  This accident caused for all my out of town guests to do a detour!  Everyone of them made it safe but for out of town guests it wasn't easy to find my house unless they had a GPS…  During the event, power went out x 2hrs because of the morning accident.  Imagine embossing at least 6 techniques without power.  No heat gun, but I kept my cool and we did great.  Yes so great that my guests finished almost 1 hour ahead of time.  I have to say this group was my best group ever!x0x0x  They rocked and were laughing about power failure and all… Expect a surprise in the mail from me if you attended, you were awesome!  I will share a few highlights of the day!  We made 20 techniques.  There was great food,swapping, gifts and the best part:  seeing some of my demonstrator friends which I had not seen in a while.

It's been fun and exciting at the same time.  Lot's of you are purchasing the amazing starter kit at 50% off.  If you would like to learn more about this great opportunity click HERE.  Love when my stampin'family grows:)  Makes me smile:)  This year we will have an amazing Christmas party, full house for sure.  My team is working so hard to make this all happen.  Speaking of precious family, my daughter Lauren celebrated her 9th birthday this past weekend, Saturday the 13th.  She made everyone vote if dinner would be Lebanese or Mexican.  When the family would say:  "  I don't mind, well Lauren would vote for them… Mexican!  So Mexican it was.  We had an awesome time.  Getting together with family is the best.  If you don't know Lauren personally, she is my Ray of Sunshine.  Notices when I get my hair done, when someone has a new piece of clothing and will give you the best compliments ever!  It is so sad that K & W Assaly Clothing doesn't exist anymore.  Back in the days it was THE place to shop.  Lauren would have fit in so wonderfully, working with grand aunt Kay would have been such a blessing…Family business has always been practiced with the Assaly's.  I sometimes wonder if one of my girls will work with my husband…

I have been decorating for the Holiday's earlier this year.  I normally decorate on December 1st, but this year is special.  I am hosting for the first time my semi-annual retreat.  It's a retreat where we decorate a linen album and everyone makes and learn 20 new techniques using stampin'up products.  I love it!  It's lots of work but I use these albums so much.  My focus for this technique day is holidays and winter!  These sampler techniques will also be great mountables for cards.  You ladies are going to have a wonderful day, delicious food & a Holiday Ambiance…

Well we are already in October!  This past weekend, I held my first weekend retreat- Creative Escape Weekend Retreat.  Marlayne and I hosted for a bunch of fabulous ladies.  The best part for me about being a demonstrator is to create (we all have creation deep in ourselves)  but some of us just don't know it, giving to others and spoiling them too & most of all, the friendships…  Well this weekend was all about that, a mini founder's circle for our customers, demonstrators & friends.  I took so many pictures and will share a few highlights.  But the first thing I wanted to share was my Fabric Journal Class.  Here is a sneak peek!  You will get more pictures this week.  I am so not a sewer but after attending convention and listening to Shelli & Sara's presentation on fabric, I realized, I do not need to be a sewer to use Stampin up's amazing fabric.

I actually have two:  This is "the Shelli"  version since Shelli presented Deck the halls fabric at convention. 

The other one is "the Sara" version which I will show you soon, it is made using the Candy Cane Christmas fabric.

Well, there is exactly one week left before my 2nd Annual Riverfrontstampin'Retreat.  Are you excited??  I sure am.  I am so excited that I couldn't contain myself and had to give you a little sneak peek of what's coming. 

I always use a different technique to cover my album and always use Stampinup's linen album because you can decorate them in so many ways.  This year I used the Mostly Vintage Stencil but added a little twist to my stencil technique.  I added stencil paste to my album.  And voila, it turned out great.

It rained here in Eastern Ontario, but the sun is just starting to shine, so I took advantage and went at the end of our dock to get a picture.  Nothing like natural daylight for a great picture!
