Scrapbooking memories for Father’s Day

My Father's Day Page

Memories of my husband & my daughter Jordan, Old Orchard USA.  I took this picture while they where spinning in this big giant bear ride.

Well let me tell you I found a new addiction! Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It's in the new Summer Mini Catalogue.  This vintage Designer Series Paper has different glossy designs that can be magically revealed using 1) Smooch Spritz 2) Aqua Painter 3) Brayer or 4) Sponge and ink.  I love love love it… As much as my stencils which I use a lot!  The brown specs are smooch spritz in log cabin.  I recommend using the color catcher so you don't have smooch everywhere.

My close up reveals a light impression of colors because I used a sponge.  If you want a bolder look, then I would suggest a brayer.  If you notice on the right side of my picture, I also stamped Sense of time stamp set over my sponged image to create texture.

If you are coming to one of my clubs or Melissa's party on Monday you get to make one of these!

Then I added On Board Cog in chipboard.  And added some chocolate chip ink to it. I used chocolate chip instead of early espresso because my new catty order will only make it in Canada monday!

By the way, have you noticed something different from this page?

Stampinup! sent us some samplers of cardstock from the new 2010-2011 catalogue.  A wonderful perk from being a demonstrator.  I used cherry cobbler and early espresso.

Convention make & take part 2

When I attended convention, the make & takes were divided in two separate areas.  In the second area, I created 4 make & takes to die for!

This Hello card was just radiant (in real) Love the new crushed curry.  I’m usually a bleu girl but this yellow is growing on me like a charm.  You have got to challenge yourself and try it.  Stamp set was Hello again which we received in our convention bag.

Then there was this cute :  Things I love Cello Bag of Cards with matching envelops.  We used the things I love stamp set .

What a great hostess gift!  Book a workshop and receive one of these:  Call me 613-675-1555 or email me:  kim@riverfrontstampin.com

Not enough chocolate:  Why not try making one of these cute Hello Box to hide delicious chocolates:  We used the Hello Again set and Retro Remix Stampin’Around wheel.

And here is my favorite make & take this lovely 8.5×8.5 page…  I love scrapbooking and just because I can share my favorite things: for the one’s who know me NEW SHOES ( lol Cindy Major), chocolate, shopping and my girls:  Megan(9),Jordan(4), Lauren(7).  What wonderful memories of convention 2009.  Maybe tomorrow, I will share what I won at convention this year!

My version of the Stampin’Success cover page-may2009

I know, I have been posting pages lately but have also been working on cards which I will post soon!  This page is my version of the cover page of our Stampin’Success magazine (May2009).  Stampin’Success is a magazine that Stampin’Up! sends to demonstrators once a month.  In this magazine, there is always a note from Shelli Gardner co-founder of the company, business tips, announcements, new specials, new techniques, featured art projects, product of the month, demonstrator promotions, art contest winners and more…

For this page, I used the simply scrappin’ kit  2 Sweet, item code 113943. For my title, I used the Naturally Serif and Serif Essentials Alphabets compressed with the big shot.  It was quick and simple because the scrappin’ kits contain 2 sheets of all 4 matching colors, 3 sheets of double faced designer paper x  2 designs, 2 sheets x 3 designs of stickers.  You can create a lot of pages or cards with one single kit.  Speaking of kits…

There is a fabulous Stampin’up! special  at this time.  You can purchase a scrappin’ kit, 1 package of 12×12 textured cardstock, craft ink pad and a stamp set, value of $51.95 for only 99$  Click here to see the special.

Do you want your NEW 2009-2010 Stampin’ Up! Catalog in June!!??

Guess what.. demonstrators have the opportunity to receive their NEW (July 09) catalog the first week in June!!  It will arrive with the first order we place in June!!  Isn’t that too cool!??

So, if you are not a demonstrator yet, but want that new catalog in your hands in June, I’d love to talk to you about becoming a demonstrator now, so that you can place your FIRST order (at 30% OFF) in June and receive that new catalog in your order!!!!  Super Exciting News, isn’t it!?

CLICK HERE to read the details about signing up for only $99 in May and to read the PERKS of being a demonstrator and a member of my Cupcake cuties group!  There are only 10 days left for this promotion!!!

There will be new "sneak peek" sets available to order on June 1st, too… so it’s a great time to order and get that new catalog too and maybe the new in colors!!!

Stop & smell the flowers, watercolor roses technique

I was busy stamping all weekend.  Stay tuned because I will be posting this week.  Well I have been cherishing these pictures for a while and was waiting for the right technique to create a page.  Thanks to Patty Bennett, I created a perfect and beautiful rose to match Jordan’s pictures.  The rose was created with the watercolor rose technique which I am going to show my stampers group.  I will also be showing this technique to our Sparkledaisies meeting, leader Marlayne Hardy.  I sure hope to wow them!  By the way, at Josee Smuck’s Inkies meeting, there were a few who asked me where I had these pictures done.  It’s a studio called Magenta Studio , in Montreal

Material used:  shimmery white cardstock, pink pirouette textured cardstock in 12×12, pretty in pink 8.5×11, whisper white textured cardstock, Bella Rose designer paper, vellum cardstock, white pearls from the pretties kit, 2 way glue, dazzling diamonds, whisper white taffeta ribbon,  chipboard, white craft ink, ink refills in pink pirouette and pretty in pink, aquapainter, eyelet border punch and naturally serif letters with my big shot.

WATERCOLORING RE-iNKER TECHNIQUE

Instruction:

1.  Take a piece of shimmery white cardstock

2.  Stamp your image with White Craft ink

3.  Apply clear embossing powder on stamped image

4.  Heat the image with your embossing tool

5.  Spray your entire image with a spritzer bottle filled with water

6.  Use a lid ex.  cool whip lid to apply a dab of reinker of your color choice. ( You can use different colors)

7.  Take your aquapainter and dip it in the dab of reinker.

8.  Touch stamped paper with the aquapainter (the color will spread on the wet stamped image)

9.  You can repeat step 7 and 8 with another color and can go over the image more then once if you want to create more colors ( I used pink pirouette, pretty in pink)

10.  Let your stamped image dry standing up (the extra water will drip down)  It doesn’t really matter because you will cut the image after.  It will take approx. 30 min for your image to dry

Voilà! you are done…

Hannah’s skating competition

Here is a page I did for a door prize, it included a class for 6 people, a value of $120 and extra designer paper, ribbon and a stamp set.  Erin, a member of my stampers group had asked for a door prize for the Minto skating club Banquet which is taking place tonight.  To show projects we do in a scrapbooking class, she gave me pictures of her daughter Hannah who will turn 8 this May.  Hannah had attended a skating competition, Scarboro Skate which she one a gold medal.  Congrats Hannah!

In this page I used:  Bravo Burgundy, Pink pirouette cardstock and Bella birds designer paper.  And I used the cardstock vellum which I punched with the eyelet border punch.  It really made it look more feminine.   I also added the 1 1/4 grosgrain ribbon in pink pirouette and attached 3 pink rhinestone brads.  Hannah’s dress was so pretty that I added accessories to complement it.  Also, I just have to say, cannot scrapbook without my bigshot!  I used the decorative accents, the decorative accent #2 and my gogo boots alphabet.

My close up of the decorative accents:  I sponged with the dobbers some bravo burgundy classic ink on the pink pirouette cardstock to create a vintage look.  It turned out great!

This month is a great month to stock up on cardstock,  see special below.  Email me to order your cardstock today.

Buy three packs of DesignerSeries paper—including Specialty Designer Series paper—or 12" x 12" texturedcard stock and get one FREE!

Good Morning Sunshine Scrapbook Page

Published by Kim under baby,scrapbooking

As some of you may know, I have 3 girls.  Every time one of my girls starts school, I have this craving for another little baby.  Jordan will be starting school in the fall and we had to go visit and register her to St-Jean-Baptiste in L’Orignal 2 weeks ago.  With our busy lives my husband would have a heart attack if we were to have another baby!  He is already living with 4 girls in the house + our female dog, Maya.  Therefore, I satisfied my cravings by looking through old pictures.  This picture is of Megan, my oldest daughter who will be turning 9 in June.  On this picture she was only 4 months old and had fallen asleep on her grandmother’s hand.  I used this page for my March stampers group:  The technique was to showcase the new circle scissor plus.

Cardstock:  pacific point, whisper white, summer sun, kiwi kiss, Designer paper:  good morning sunshine, On board so tweet, Pacific point corduroy buttons, 5/8" Striped grosgrain ribbon in kiwi kiss and pacific point.

The chipboard was stained with the close to cocoa, ruby red, more mustard craft ink and kiwi kiss classic ink.  I also used the designer label punch with riding hood red textured cardstock.

I would like to thank Aline Martel for the inspiration of this page and Jo-Ann Pullen to help me figure out how to post my pages.

APRIL SCRAPBOOKING GROUP

This weekend we celebrated Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Assaly’s.  It’s a tradition, every year my mother-in-law  displays numerous Easter baskets for her kids, grandchildren and other family members in the yard.  My daughter Jordan took pleasure running outside in the cold wind.  She found this enormous pink basket, just for her!

Here is a close up of the egg using the oval dies

And this picture is a picture of the butterflie die

In this page I used cardstock:  chocolate chip 12×12, Parisian Breeze designer paper, very vanilla, Vellum cardstock.  BIG SHOT dies:  Beautiful butterflies, Swirly, Ovals, GogoBoots alphabet Set.  Accessories:  Circle Scissor Plus with Glass Mat,Canvas Cuts (just love them) with coordinating rub-ons Fashion Districts, dazzling diamonds, versamark, the new wheel in the occasion mini Egg hunt, clear brads, Kraft taffeta ribbon and eyelet border punch.  I just love to make those vellum cardstock butterflies, adding the dazzling diamonds glitter makes it so pretty.  There’s never enough glitter!

I wish…Christmas page

I’m in a Christmas kind of mood!  Here is a page I created for my Stampers group.  I used the I wish simply scrappin kit and the stamp set in the mini " Home for Christmas".  When I saw that stamp set it reminded me of pictures I took of my girls on Christmas day in 2005 at grandma’s house.  "this year"  I used the go go boots dies with my big shot.  When I created my scrapping page I always incorporate a technique.  This time I created a opening card and added an individual picture of the girls on the inside.

Here is the inside.
