Happy fifth anniversary to me

Wow time flies when you are having fun!  Already 5th anniversary with Stampin'up!, so blessed to have taken the leap and joined the company, I discovered that I am creative, that I can travel on my own, have bonus $$ that I never got with my nursing job, incentive trips and most of all have made the best of friends.  I wouldn't see myself without stampinup. And I have the demonstrators on my team and my customers to thank.  Without you, none of this would happen.  If you are thinking of signing up as a demonstrator, email me and we can chat some more:) or click here for details. + the first 3 people to sign up with me in June will receive an extra 90$ in FREE products.

I wanted to share today a two page layout from my Spring Fling Scrapbook Day.  This a bittersweet moment for me as my large Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil #116573 has made it to the retired list.  But it will make some room for my new 2011-2012 products.  If you haven't checked out the retired list, you better do so as some of the products have already started to run out. Getting ready to say farewell

Sale-a-bration sale is almost over!  4 Days left.  I admit I used the Sale-a-bration stamp set Bliss or in french Joie, again and again.  It was my #1 favorite.  Had a workshop this morning, and this is one of the cards we made.  I did add a little preview from the next 2011-2012 Catalog, the four frames stamp set.  Also, there is only 1 month left for the Occasions mini, and we don't know if any of these products are coming back, most of them likely not!  So I have highlighting them, like the Rosettes!  One of my workshop attendees, Carmen said to me today that I should have been born in those "vintage"days.  She said she always can recall when it's a "Kim Card".  What is your style?  Tell me what do you like?  I think it will be one of my questions next month with my Downline.  I have used two backgrounds stamp set for this card.  Can you guess which ones they are?  I have a new favorite… Wonderfully Worn.  It creates these dots just like the spritzer tool :)

Here is a close up of the specs from the Wonderfully Worn Background.  Add this one on your wish list it's a must!

I also have been creating and prepping for our second Creative Escape Weekend and the projects are fabulous.  The sad part is that I cannot share with you until it's over.  But I designed 4 wowser scrapbook pages for attendees.  Also have created  a circle scrapbook in a box, a delicious &  rich color canvas, cupcake treats, fabric galore projects…  I can't wait to share with you after the retreat.

Products used:

Stamp set:  Four Frames #123442 (c) #123440 (w), Bliss SAB stamp set (w) #121851, (c) #123217 or Joie # (w) 123240 (c) #123242, Sanded #109294 and Wonderfully Worn#118533 background stamp

Scrapbook Day!

I first wanted to thank all of you for being so supportive.  What wonderful comments for my first video of the mini album.  I was overjoyed!  Jordan will pick 3 names on Sunday, and 3 lucky people will get to have one of the albums!  I already know what my second video will be about!

Last weekend, I hosted a scrapbook day in our pj's, it was part 2, we made 10 pages.  We had part 1 in December. What a fun and relaxing day!  We chatted, ate, created, laughed and the best part is that I inspired a few to create, in fact one of my dear friend and demonstrator thanked me with a lovely email saying:  " I had rocked her world and helped her get her mojo back".  I love to help others and was so happy for her!   I also have to thank my helper Lysanne who mass produce lots of kits to go!  Here is a sneak peek of 4 of our projects.  Oh and I forgot to say, everyone brought a dish, it was so yummy!  Again, I am grateful for spending time with such wonderful people.

If you would like to take advantage of the kit to go, email me now!  I have a few put together + I am hosting the same class on a week night!

I also want to take this time to announce Part 3:  Vintage style!  I am hosting part 3 May 7th.  Email me to reserve your spot.

It's a short post today, as I am putting finishing touches for my classes at our creative escape retreat.  Can't wait to post sneak peek pictures about that(wink)!

have a wonderful weekend!

Pay it forward, simply gorgeous

For me, it all started when Kimberly Van Diepen, who posted on facebook this comment:

"Here is something VERY fun! Time to pay it Forward in 2011: I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who leave a comment here. They must in turn post this and send something they make to the first 5 people who comment on their status. *The rules are that it must be handmade by you and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011!"

She is a stamper that I truly admire because her projects reflect my style, and she is an awesome lady!  Anyway,  decided to take her up in this little challenge.  So, I re posted on my facebook profile and my Riverfrontstampin Facebook page.  Well, guess what:  I have 5 projects to do for my profile and 4 for my riverfront page = 9 in total.  It's a great thing that I have the entire year to do so.

Although, I didn't receive my pay forward from Kimberly, I did from one of my downline, awesome helper and good friend Lysanne.  She rocked my world this week at a workshop I was hosting with her pay forward to me.  She attended the event and brought my pay forward.   It is gorgeous.  As I would say in French, J'adore, J'adore, J'adore!!!  Merci Lysanne, du fond de mon coeur.

Let me share with you our relationship.  It's a small world!   She was looking for a Stampin'up! demonstrator because a friend had talked about SU products, so she looked into the demo finder in her area and voilà, my name appeared.  So she emailed me and found out that I was THE nurse at the high school she works.  And the rest is history.  As my business grew she has become my fabulous helper that I couldn't live without!

The colors and style are so me! And if you have been following my blog a little, you know I love baja breeze and stencils.  I hope stampin up creates more stencils.

Isn't it wonderful!  In the pockets are some wine "clippies", I don't know how to call them, lol

For complete instructions and product list, email me!

This pay forward comment made a lot of people create, which is so wonderful.  I haven't sent my pay forwards yet but I think they will be different from one another to represent the people that I am sending them to.

I have updated my classes view HERE, there are more to come:) If you want a fun fill day and need to update your scrapbook or need fresh ideas for your scrapbook classes,  I still have a few spots for my stamp-a-rama day in your pj.

Oh and I almost forgot, Marlayne and I are hosting our 2nd Creative Escape weekend retreat April 1st,2nd and 3rd and there are only 5 rooms left!  Book now to save your spot!  Details HERE

My to do list for the week for you: instructions for the card-scrapbook and a sneak peak from my stamp-a-rama day (you will fall off your chair on the cover album) and my to do list for me:  clean my stamp-create room, send downline packages and thank you cards & I am going for a run cause I made a goal to lose 14 and a half pounds before the Alaska Stampin up! Cruise!

Have a great day xoxo

Stampin’the night away…

Hey! it's been a while!  I have been in my studio stampin' away.  Prepping for my cupcake cuties team meeting – Xmas party.  They rock my world and I wanted to thank them for being part of my life.  In this time of giving, I got them each a décor accents 12×12 chunky frame which we enjoyed decorating, while listening to Christmas Music, ate amazing food & shared tips.  Thanks to Veronique who brought me from town a delicious Chai tea from Starbucks, your awesome!  We don't have Starbucks in my town!  Thanks to Manon who gave me cupcake pyjas for the holidays, what a sweetheart.  And thanks to everyone of you who spent the afternoon with me.  We also got to play with Occasions mini products.  And some left with great gifts and prizes too.

This Decor element chunky frame is on sale 20% off until December 16th, item code:  #124075.  I also enjoy using my stencils.  These are all in the Definitely decorative brochure.

I must be in a "lovy dovy" kind of mood, sharing pictures of my husband and I.  This picture was taken on my first incentive cruise that I earned with Stampin'up!

Here is Veronique perfecting a classic look with her decor frame

Please do stop by to see me these decorated frames are much better to view in person, they are stunning!

Some applied craft ink only others applied paste.  I used the paste, love texture! The important part is to emboss the image so it stays put!

Ahhhh my first scrapbook page of my husband and I

I love to scrapbook about my kids but for the first time I focused on a page of Tony and I.  We always have a Halloween party with different themes every year.  This year our theme was Mardi Gras.  You won't see us much with our masks as we removed them cause they were so hot.  I love the products in the mini which focused on Halloween and challenged myself to use them all.

You must think I'm crazy because it's November and I am scrapbooking about Halloween and in August I was making Christmas cards.  Well I always scrapbook with what inspires me that day.  Also at our club day we decided our theme for each month and in November, we knew we would have plenty of Halloween pictures.  You are welcome to come next month.  Our theme is Holidays and Christmas and it will be on December 28th.  It's always the 4th Tuesday of the month.  I hope to see many of you.

I had seen a scrapbook page at one of our team meetings and decided to add more elements.  I used this page at a stamp club this month.  Our theme was Halloween but I focused on textures.  Like usual you will not see all the elements in this picture, but live it is beautiful.

Texture but How?

1.  The first thing I did is wheel the midnight musings wheel with versamark on my cardstock and I took out my pastels and daubed black pastel on the versamark.  Wow I think I hadn't done that in so many years but this technique still wows me:)

2.  I added the black flourish designer jewels from the mini p8

3.  I passed the word BOO and the top note die shape with the textured embossing folder spider web on p.6 of the mini

4.  I added the black lace called raven from p.8 of the mini

5.  I also crimped the black waffle paper

6.  I punched out  bitty bat large punch and popped them with dimensionals

7.  Before adding my pictures I spritz a combination of champagne mist with rubbing alcohol

8.  One of the top note die was embossed with the spider web embossing folder and I sanded it with a sanding block to create a felt texture.

There you go 8 techniques to add texture to a page!

Have a great weekend and for my friends in the states Happy Thankgiving!
