Overload bunny cuteness

I had the pleasure to host my monthly team meeting last week.  We were chatting so much that I forgot to take pictures… I designed an easy make and take for them.  What I loved best is that everyone added their twist to their project.  Once again, I forgot to take pictures of their designs before they left. If you follow me on instagram (riverfrontstampin) you were able to see my project as I posted the love notes and matching box there.  If you didn’t see my pictures, here is a series of pictures.

I love the succulent garden designer series paper.  It is perfect for Easter and spring projects.  I’m a gingham girl.  There are two different gingham sheets in the designer series paper package, 2 sheets of each color. These two were my favorite.  Plus, there is a load of different designs in the kit.  The coordinating ribbon is gorgeous.

To make my bunnies, I used the basket builder and coordinating basket bunch.  The best part was the tail.  I used the pompom trim ribbon to make the fluffy ball.  The list of products is identified below.

For a quick reference, I’ve added a list:

  • Basket builder framelits dies #143228
  • Basket bunch stamp set #143186
  • Succulent garden designer series paper #142778
  • Succulent Garden 3/8” ribbon combo Pack #142781
  • Whisper white mini pompom trim #141486
  • Sweet sugarplum ink pad #141395
  • Tip top taupe ink pad #138325
  • Whisper white card stock #100730
  • Linen Thread #104199
  • Mint Macaron 3/8” sheer linen ribbon #141656
  • Polka dot textured impressions embossing folder #133739
  • Scalloped tag topper punch  #133324
  • Pearl Basic Jewels #119247
  • Dimensionals #104430

The instructions to make the box are listed HERE.  The only difference with today’s box, I added a belly band with the succulent garden dsp.  My belly band measured 1” x 12’.  I wrapped it around the box.  It slides off easy if you add dimensionals to glue it down. To view measurements for the love notes and to make the cute tags on top, see instructions HERE.

Pour les clientes francophones, le jeu est disponible en français #143436 et pour le lot de panier de Pâques (jeu et poinçons framelits) #144732

Aside from prizes, recognition, we had yummy treats. Here's one of them! There's not a better feeling than a group of people getting together to stamp and have fun!

To all the demonstrators that have currently taken advantage of the starter kit and signed up on my team for March, I’m sending you this cute project in the mail!  Enjoy ladies!  If you haven’t taken the time to sign up for the starter kit, see details HERE.  You have until March 31st to sign up.  The starter kit is a great way to stock up on products. So hard to let go

I hope you've enjoyed your holidays. I've taken some time off and it feels wonderful. When Stampin'up releases the retiring list of products from a catalogue, I always cringe my teeth… I have trouble letting go of my retired favorites… I use to keep them anyway but now I only keep a selected few… Being a demonstrator for over 10 years has made my stash of SU products pretty big. If I kept all my stampin products, I would need to upgrade the size of my craft room… Us demonstrators have great perks, like free goodies, bonus and a discount on our products, hence the reason I have a great and big supply of goodness… You might want to check in during the Sale-a-bration period that starts on January 4th, the starter kit has a great deal going down…  There has never been a better time to join either for the discount or to start your own business.

The holiday catalogue is coming to an end on January 3rd, just like the holiday are almost over.  I've shifted from making holiday projects, to winter projects… I'm loving the Mountain Adventure stamp set… This is one stamp set that I'm keeping in my retired stash… Skiing is a big part of our family activities and I know this set will be useful for a very long time.  I've design this scrapbook page below for my January scrapbook club, if you would like to attend, I'm hosting on January 11th.  If you live too far then take advantage of my kit to go.  The kit to go includes the Mountain Adventure stamp set.  You have until January 3rd to sign up.

I wanted to include so many pictures… There wasn't enough space for my journaling.  To resolve this issue, I added flip pockets to incorporate my journaling. The linen thread kept the pockets closed.  Another idea would be to use magnets…

The embellishments from the holiday catalogue were pretty amazing as well.  I love glittery things.  The tins of tags project kit includes these star and circle sequins.  I added them using the Fine tip glue pen.  I also added white mica flakes to my mountains.

Here is a view of the inside of my pockets.  I stamped the inside and colored the stamp images with my new watercolor crayons that are coming in the new occasion catalogue.  This is one of the perks of being a demonstrator, we can pre order the new goodies from the next catalogue. If you don't have the new crayons, you can use the ink off of your ink pads.  I just press my ink pad down so the ink transfers to the inside of the lid.

On my previous post, I talked about how much I love the large letters framelits. This time I embossed my letters with softly falling textured impression embossing folder.  Adding texture to the letters made the title pop out.  I also added more white mica flakes…

Tip: When I want to display a scrapbook page, I get a 12×12 canvas at my local craft store and mount the page to it.  It's perfect for wall art or even to display on a shelf.  This page will make it to my scrapbook wall for sure… The color combo is perfect for my display area.

More amazing deals:

Santa’s sleigh card

Who says we can't use a basic black and very vanilla for the holidays? I love non tradition Christmas colors! I'm still on a high from the onstage event that stampinup hosted in Ottawa for Eastern Canada demonstrators… it was fabulous to connect with old demonstrators and new ones as well. It was really exciting to see ladies from my team attend their first stampinup event. Until you attend an event, you can't understand  how special the entire experience is. How the company cares for their demos, how recognition is important and yes how spoiled we are.  Some demonstrators join for the discount.  Because the products are so amazing, colors coordinate, the quality of product is beyond expectations.  Others join for extra income.  Like one of my downline who explained to me  that her stampin up events are helping to pay for  her child's medical treatments and the treatments are working.  A demonstrator's WHY can be very different.  If you are loving stampin up and would love to join my team, I would love to learn your WHY and help you achieve your goals even if it's as simple as getting the discount…  You can contact me or view details HERE.

Below is the card I created for my swap. I got to share and create a bunch of these cards in exchange for other cards made by other demonstrators. I packed for work a bunch of products and came up with the card below.  On my lunch break, I created this beauty.  It's simple and anybody can case it.  It's the perfect card to make duplicates especially for your family and friends holiday cards.

For this card I used the very vanilla #101650  and basic black card stock #121045. I inked up with the archival basic black ink #140931. This ink pad is a must if you don't already have it. It stamps the perfect black color, no purple tinge… and it's permanent ink, perfect for use with watercolouring techniques.   I also used This Christmas Specialty designer series paper #141628 from our annual catalogue. P.172. Yes the annual catalogue contains holiday products as well!  You don't want to miss out.  The package contains 24 sheets.   Imagine how many cards you can create with a large package like this.   My reindeer is from the santa's sleigh thinlits dies #140278,  this one has a coordinating stamp set called santa's sleigh #142057.  If you purchase the stamp set and dies you save 10% for the bundle #143499.  it's one of my favourite bundle from the holiday catalogue.  I embellished with the mini jingle bells  #142002.  You get 60 in a package.  and used my fav. linen thread to tie my bell #104199.  My stars and greetings come from the stamp set Star of light #142110.  This set contains 21 photopolymer stamps and has many greetings.

Here is another version:

First On stage event

Hope you had a great weekend? Mine was fabulous.  I attended Stampin up! first on stage event.  It was a global event.  I attended the Mississauga Ontario event.  Although I missed a lot of friends who attended the others  across the world, l love that I got to see their posts in the cyber world, like facebook and instagram.  I love meeting all the familiar faces at the Mississauga on stage, friends that I had not seen in a long time… We had such an amazing time.  Got to stamp, see the new occasion catalogue,  swapped cards, got lots of new goodies.  And oh ya I won the best prize patrol, vintage style:)))

It was a fabulous event. I love goofing around.  And the starbucks helped the craziness…

Meet my friend Tammy!  She is new to my team.  So excited that she is starting this journey with me.  My new cupcake cutie demonstrator:)   If you would like to be part of my team click HERE and check out all the perks of being a demonstrator.  There are different reasons you might want to consider this great opportunity.  Next in the middle is Kay…. She is from the east coast.  Always brave to travel all this way…

Ahhh the Statement of the Heart and the primary reason I do this… "To love what we do and share what we love as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments… In this we make a difference."  My daughter Megan cannot wait to become a demonstrator.  She is better than her mama at  stamping, so patient and organized.  I can't wait to attend Stampin up events with her..

I made 50 swap cards.  Love to get new ideas.  I guess I created one that required lots and lots of steps.  As we were driving up to Mississauga,  my Mc Steamy Honey and I, he said to me:  "you got to be pretty patient to do this…"  This is  all new to him.  I love him dearly for all his support and for keeping me company at night in the big city of Toronto.  He had to go work in Niagara Falls for the week so I didn't pass the opportunity to snuggle an extra 2 nights before he was away.  I guess I'm a little lost when he is not around.  We have this super routine and when he's not around, I just cannot function…  But he has found lots of creative ways to make me feel special when he is away.  I cannot really say how cause I think C J would be embarrassed that I share here but he's pretty special.

I love the washi label punch.  A big hug to my daughter Megan who punched all 50 and stamped the images as well.

And here you go, 50 cards later.  Let me tell you there were dimensionals paper in the car and in the hotel room, everywhere…  If you cannot attend my card class on November 19th, please email me and I will fill you in on my class to go opportunity, stamps in the mail.

The color combo and modified version came from Sara, Shelli' daughter.  She posted a similar one on www.Soshelli.com.  Check her version too, it's adorable.

There are 3 ways for getting a hand stamped card from me this month:  1- if you placed an order directly with me or on my website.  2-  if you are in my team of demonstrator and have achieved great sales, recruiting or hosted an event.  3-  if you are attended the on stage event organized by Stampin'up!  I'll have a swap card for you!!

Housekeeping:  I will be hosting a Christmas card class on November 19th,  Reserve your spot!

Giving for a good cause

To show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Paper Pumpkin is going PINK…  or at least the October boxes are!!!  Stampin'Up! will donate $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin Subscriber + An additional $1 for every new subscriber to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

What is paper pumpkin?  It's a fully designed project kit that arrives in a delightful box (PINK for October if you sign up before October 10th) filled with stamps, ink, paper and all the accessories you need to complete your projects.  Everything ready to go….It's the perfect gift for family and friends.  It is also the perfect start if you are a beginner or if you don't have a lot of supplies at home.  It is also a great kit for the expert stampers because you can tweak it to your taste.

Here is a sample of the August kit, Chalk it Up to Love.  This is my simple version.  I copied the project exactly like the instructions that came with the content. So it's simple and easy and you learn new techniques along the way.  This kit came with all the supplies, stamp set and ink to make 3 boxes, 6 cards and 6 envelopes.  I keep all the projects made in a box and when I have an event and need a quick card for weddings, birthdays etc. I go directly in that box.  Also, when the projects are 3D, I will give these as hostess gifts and incorporate a treat.

The kits come all wrapped up.  It's a surprise to get your new kit every month.  You never know what is coming…. If you are a pinterest lover, there is a special spot for all the paper pumpkin kits and you get to view different projects.  Check it out HERE.

Wouldn't these boxes make a great hostess gift? When the boxes contain 3 D projects, I love to  give them to friends, teachers or even use them as pillow gift for family and friends that are coming for sleepovers.  It's also a great hostess gift to give to friends when invited for dinner.  I would add chocolate to mine.  As for all the cards, I placed them in a box.   When the girls need a birthday card for their parties or if I need a sympathy card or a wedding card and I'm in a rush, I just pick one out of the box.   The bonus is you get to keep the inks and stamp sets to make many more projects…

Here's a picture from Jordan, sewing on her card for her friend's birthday party.  She made the card on her own from one of the kits. It's from the March kit 2015 SEW YOU. A great way for her to learn how to sew.

Then mama stepped in and tweaked the kit to make it a wowser for the birthday girl…

So you can see how fun these kits are for new, beginners to expert stampers..

There are two simple ways to subscribe:

PAY AS YOU GO  Just sign up once for $24.95 a month (shipping included) and a new kit is delivered to your door each month.

Hello Doily Christmas Card

I love background stamps.  They make a card so beautiful and you don't really need to add much to a project.  When I saw the Hello, Doily background stamp set I was over the moon.  A stamp set like Hello, Doily speaks for itself.  Last night at my Christmas class one of my guest made a beautiful page with it.  It wasn't a Christmas Page but it inspired me to make a card for today's share.  I love how this stamp is so versatile, from simply elegant to holiday projects, this baby is a must in your stamp space.  You probably can't see very well but this card is 5×5, therefore it is a large stamp set.

I used the scallop square die with the Frostwood lodge designer paper.  Another great die to use with your big shot.  And you can get your own big shot or 125$ of free products when you sign up as a demonstrator.   Ask me how or join HERE.

If you are recreating a 5 x 5 card, don't forget the Medium Square envelopes #107289

Hostess Gift from Convention

Busy busy as a bee, as I was uploading pictures on my new computer, I realized that I have been very busy:  Convention, Vegas, Tony and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in July, finally had my open house with the launch of the new catalogue, we attended Tony's uncle's 60th birthday party and his cousin's wedding and I celebrated my birthday last Friday.  Thanks to all of you for posting happy birthday on Facebook.  Actually, if the Facebook wishes were stamped, handmade cards, I would have had 150 of them:) pretty impressive! On the downside, summer is half done and we haven't been around, Tony and I made a list of 30 things that needed to be done around the house.  We realized that our busy schedule was not going to cut it.  So my dad is helping us out and started today to do the things on the list.  I am so grateful and the girls are super excited that he's around too:)  I love watching the girls pitching around and helping him out.

I have so many projects that I want to show you.  Having all these events to attend in July made me stamp a lot. And now it's time to post some of them here.  First, I wanted to post my hostess box and matching cards that I presented at convention.  I created the box from a soap box from a hotel and just changed the size to fit a 3×3 card.  Simple Right?

If you would like one of these, there are 4 options to receive Kim's Hostess Set:

1- Book a Party with me

2- Place a online order with me + Bonus get VIP service

3- Join my team, I would love to share this opportunity with you

4- Place a comment on my blog and I will draw 1 of these

Good Luck!

Personally for this project I preferred using the marker because I colored in the images and left the bee out of the stamp set to replace it with a butterfly

Super Woman, I am

Do you ever feel like you are super woman?  I sometimes think I am.  Although we were gone for a week on a family vacation, the first moment I stepped into my home, vacation was over!  The phone started ringing and I was the designated taxi driver.  It's like an alarm went on, kids are back, kids are back then 10 friends called.  I am truly blessed that the girls have such great friends but I do remember that my parents would not drive me around at such a young age.  I use to stay in the country and play with my cousins, or go to my grandfather's family farm and play with the animals…We did not go as often to the big city!

These past few days I needed to take out my super cape!  Why did I need my super cape?  Well I learned a huge lesson.  Never, never pack too many clothes for a trip and think "the unworn clothes, we will leave in a separate luggage and just put them back in the drawers."  It doesn't work that way, you still got to wash it all!  I need to post that my super husband did lots of laundry and groceries on Sunday while I was gone to help a new sale-a-bration recruit with her first workshop!  By the way not much time left to purchase the starter kit at 15% off and get that bonus 60$ gift. (7 days only)Think of all the money you spend eating at the restaurant during the week or the times you stop at a coffee shop.  You can afford this awesome deal and at a great price!  More than 375$ of products for $182.75, no taxes, no shipping! I would love to have you part of my team:)

We are also busy preparing for end of year activities.  Lauren and Jordan have taken hip hop since September and the show is in April, so yesterday was picture day.  Megan's figure skating show is this weekend.  Which means we do not get anymore ice time in our town and Megan will start traveling to the big city for ice time!

Last weekend was my team meeting, the Cupcake Cuties.  One of the projects was a simple, easy scrapbook page.  It matches the projects that I showed in the last few days.  I love to coordinate projects.  Scrapbooking has been a great part of my stamping business and one of the main reasons I joined stampin up.  I will add a title to this page, I am looking for the perfect one.

Wow did I share lots today, this is what's been going on in our house in the last couple of days.
