Father’s Day/Masculine Card Kit

First of all, I would like to extend my warm appreciation from your emails about yesterday's post.  All your comments were really touching.  I send big hugs your way:)

Now for today's post, I wanted to share a workshop that I had recently hosted with a group of awesome ladies.  I created this box to hold my Father's Day/Masculine Cards.  Love The Open Sea stamp set #123030(w) #123032 (c) from the Summer Mini.  It does create beautiful Masculine Cards.  Speaking of cards.  These cards were not at all designed  by me.  They were part of some swap cards from cruise. I know that the red card is from Kay Smith but the others I don't know so sorry for not sharing your name.  If you made one of these please email me:) and I will add your name right here:)   An awesome perk of being a demonstrator, we get to exchange ideas.

This is a short post since I'm going to enjoy the sun and watch my kids swim, have a fabulous day:)

Out with the old in with the new

I have organized a card swap with demonstrators and I also signed up for a swap with members who have earned the 2011 Alaska Cruise.  I must admit, it has been super fun to host the Summer Mini Card Swap. How cool to get a bunch of cards in the mail instead of bills!  One of the perks of being a demonstrator:)  If you would like to join my team of demonstrators, just ask me about my opportunity night!  Si vous voulez faire partie de mon équipe, faites moi signe et demandez moi à propos de ma soirée d'occasion!

My camera died on me this week, it's toast:( I took out an old camera so I can post for you today.  I don't want to rush my decision about a new camera but Tony and I would love to get a new one before the Alaska Cruise.  If you have any recommendations, please, please, please email me or post a comment on my blog.  Speaking of comments and emails, I have loved your support, have loved to read the emails about goals, about Jordan sleeping next to me while I stamp and that I should enjoy every moment ( you know I do), about what was Tammy's hair like before she cut it off and also about my projects.

Why is my title Out with the Old in with the New? It's because there is only 4 days left to purchase from the Occasion's Mini catalogue and then May 1st the Summer Mini Begins.  Here is my first project, one of my swaps:

While I was doing my Spring Cleaning, I found invitations that I had made for my Father In-Law's 60 birthday party. It was this template that I had used.  I loved it so much that when I saw the Sail Away stamp set it reminded me of the invitation I had once made for him.  We love boating and I am so excited to be able to create with this stamp set.  There will be many more projects to come with Sail Away!

I almost forgot, today is the last day to sign up for our Stamp & Stomp Cancer Fundraiser.

Products used:

Scrapbooking memories for Father’s Day

My Father's Day Page

Memories of my husband & my daughter Jordan, Old Orchard USA.  I took this picture while they where spinning in this big giant bear ride.

Well let me tell you I found a new addiction! Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It's in the new Summer Mini Catalogue.  This vintage Designer Series Paper has different glossy designs that can be magically revealed using 1) Smooch Spritz 2) Aqua Painter 3) Brayer or 4) Sponge and ink.  I love love love it… As much as my stencils which I use a lot!  The brown specs are smooch spritz in log cabin.  I recommend using the color catcher so you don't have smooch everywhere.

My close up reveals a light impression of colors because I used a sponge.  If you want a bolder look, then I would suggest a brayer.  If you notice on the right side of my picture, I also stamped Sense of time stamp set over my sponged image to create texture.

If you are coming to one of my clubs or Melissa's party on Monday you get to make one of these!

Then I added On Board Cog in chipboard.  And added some chocolate chip ink to it. I used chocolate chip instead of early espresso because my new catty order will only make it in Canada monday!

By the way, have you noticed something different from this page?

Stampinup! sent us some samplers of cardstock from the new 2010-2011 catalogue.  A wonderful perk from being a demonstrator.  I used cherry cobbler and early espresso.

Specialty Designer Series Paper #117175

And the new colors will be available to you July 1st unless you join today, then you get to preorder new 2010-2011 products this month!
