Technique Class to Go

Thanks so much for all the emails and horror stories about computers.  I love to read your emails + it made me feel a little better:)  While I'm in Greece, my computer is a little off, they haven't tuned it back to what it was before the crash.  I will be paying them a visit for a quick fix, since when I get home, I leave just a few days later for Stampin'up! Super Convention.  Although I did loose some of my favorite pictures for my Convention Presentation, I do have a back up plan.  Good thing that I adapt easy!

Since a few of you inquired about the technique to go book that I have for grabs, here is a sampler of what it looks like.

In your kit to go you get 20 techniques like these and instructions + a 6×6 linen album and it includes your shipping.

It's a wonderful class for your clubs, workshop sampler if you are a demonstrator.

It's a wonderful Resource Book if you love rubber stamping.

I always like to add my special touch to these samples and carry my books around with me to talk about my love for rubber stamping.  If you have thought about joining as a demonstrator, then click HERE, I will help you with YOUR goals!

Snowflake fun

I have been talking about my Stamp-A-Rama Day in your pyjas, it took place this past Saturday.  Attendees got to Make 10 pages and cover their albums.  Although the pages were random,  I did decide to decorate the album with snowflakes.  Where did I get the inspiration? The other day, I was driving by a Starbucks and saw in their window: "Friends are like snowflakes, beautiful and different"  and I just loved it:)  I love a monochromatic theme and snowflakes are the perfect way to decorate an album.  I must say when I host events my favorite technique is to decorate a Stampin' up! linen album.  I have a few in my studio and they are all different.  I mainly use Stampin up's stencils but since there was no snowflake stencil, I decided to use the snowflake die.  It turned out great.  Everyone's album was beautiful and different just like the quote at Starbucks.  It was a fabulous day!

Have you noticed the pearls?  My favorite is the pearl bauble, it's so pretty and elegant:)

Holiday tags are so fun to make.  Trina was the inspiration for this one. It is so beautiful and fun to do!  There is lot's of Champagne shimmer paint which makes it very glittery in person.

This class was Part 1, if you are interested to sign up for part 2 it will take place February 19th. Places are limited since I can't use my husband's manly room anymore!  If you are one of my friends on facebook, well you already hear about it.  After 5 years, Anthony has finally furnished his manly room with manly toys:(  But it's ok, I do have a beautiful studio with Riverfront view that makes me smile everyday :)   I am truly blessed!

Haven't joined us for part one, you can still attend click on link HERE!  Places are limited! A 30$ deposit is required to save your spot, balance is due February 10th.

Hope to see you.

A day to remember…

This past Saturday, I hosted my semi-annual Holiday technique retreat.  It was a fabulous day full of surprises.  The day started with a light snow fall, which cause a local driver to have an accident near my house.  This accident caused for all my out of town guests to do a detour!  Everyone of them made it safe but for out of town guests it wasn't easy to find my house unless they had a GPS…  During the event, power went out x 2hrs because of the morning accident.  Imagine embossing at least 6 techniques without power.  No heat gun, but I kept my cool and we did great.  Yes so great that my guests finished almost 1 hour ahead of time.  I have to say this group was my best group ever!x0x0x  They rocked and were laughing about power failure and all… Expect a surprise in the mail from me if you attended, you were awesome!  I will share a few highlights of the day!  We made 20 techniques.  There was great food, swapping, gifts and the best part:  seeing some of my demonstrator friends which I had not seen in a while.

Delicious Snowflake cookies, these were my favorite:)

Awesome talented ladies:)

Socializing with "long time no see" friends!

Here is Jenn working at it's best, she is part of my Cupcake cuties team and so talented.  I am so grateful and blessed to have met her and so many more…

And last but not least I love this picture of Trina.  Chilling after the event.  She had brought projects to share which I need to take pictures to show you & the swaps.  I met Trina a few years back, she is so talented and kind.  Do you remember Trina traveling with Rochelle & I to the states just to go to Targets,  Jordan was just a baby!?

***If you would like to sign up for the next Technique retreat, it will take place June 25th so save that date.  Again, places will be limited so email me to save your spot.

Also if you love Scrapbooking like I do, Join me for a Stamp-A-Rama Day in your pyjas on Dec 19th.  Details HERE

Can’t wait until Saturday:)

It's been fun and exciting at the same time.  Lot's of you are purchasing the amazing starter kit at 50% off.  If you would like to learn more about this great opportunity click HERE.  Love when my stampin'family grows:)  Makes me smile:)  This year we will have an amazing Christmas party, full house for sure.  My team is working so hard to make this all happen.  Speaking of precious family, my daughter Lauren celebrated her 9th birthday this past weekend, Saturday the 13th.  She made everyone vote if dinner would be Lebanese or Mexican.  When the family would say:  "  I don't mind, well Lauren would vote for them… Mexican!  So Mexican it was.  We had an awesome time.  Getting together with family is the best.  If you don't know Lauren personally, she is my Ray of Sunshine.  Notices when I get my hair done, when someone has a new piece of clothing and will give you the best compliments ever!  It is so sad that K & W Assaly Clothing doesn't exist anymore.  Back in the days it was THE place to shop.  Lauren would have fit in so wonderfully, working with grand aunt Kay would have been such a blessing…Family business has always been practiced with the Assaly's.  I sometimes wonder if one of my girls will work with my husband…

Here is my sweetheart Lauren, happy birthday again my sweetie:)

I have been decorating for the Holiday's earlier this year.  I normally decorate on December 1st, but this year is special.  I am hosting for the first time my semi-annual retreat.  It's a retreat where we decorate a linen album and everyone makes and learn 20 new techniques using stampin'up products.  I love it!  It's lots of work but I use these albums so much.  My focus for this technique day is holidays and winter!  These sampler techniques will also be great mountables for cards.  You ladies are going to have a wonderful day, delicious food & a Holiday Ambiance…

Here is my cover, attendees will be able to do 1,2 or 3 ornaments.  I always do a technique on my cover, this year the new technique is Dying Pearls.  Marina Mist and Early Espresso pearl, I just love it!  More details about this event HERE.  Also, good news, 2 ladies cancelled their 2 go kits therefore everything is cut .  Meaning I have 2 spots open:)  Contact me if you would like to attend!

Oups this is not a card!

Published by under Technique Tuesday,techniques

I love teaching techniques, my event is in 11 days.  I can't wait, I still have a few spots  so join us and I also have 4 spots for to go kits.  So email me!  Since it's technique Tuesday, I wanted to share one of the techniques we did at my Riverfrontstampin retreat this summer.  It's a fun filled day that you learn lots of new ways to play with your stamps and products.

This summer, Colored spritz smooch was one of them.  So today, I am sharing one of them from this past June.  It's not a card but a sampler and I attach my samplers to a 6×6 of whisper white piece of cardstock with a description of the Technique in French for my french stampers and in English for the english stampers.  You leave my studio with a linen album filled with fun techniques.  The beauty of this book is that I carry it with me at all my workshops.  When a customer asks me a question, I can point out at the image and describe how to make it.  Also it's fabulous when you want to make a card, scrapbook page, 3 D item, (choosing a technique from this book makes it much easier.)

Colored spritz smooch:

1.  Apply a light ink color on an acetate sheet

2.  Apply a darker color over the acetate inked sheet.

3.  Spritz 3x some spritz smooch on the inked acetate.

4.  Use a background stamp and ink it with the inked and spritzed acetate sheet.

5.  Stamp on whisper white cardstock

6.  Voila

Painting with embossing technique

One of my most popular event is my Annual Riverfront Stampin Retreat that I do every June-July.  Since it's such a special event, I have decided to create twice a year!  Oh yes, on November 20th you will have the opportunity to come to my home to make and learn 20 NEW techniques at my Semi-Annual Riverfrontstampin technique retreat.  For more details view here.  Note:  if there is more than 20 people, location will change. RSVP now to save your spot with paypal link!  There will also be a 12×12 scrapbooking, full card  & 6×6 recipe swap, theme is Christmas and The Holidays!

This past Sunday I was a speaker at Sherida's team meeting ( a fellow demonstrator).  What I love about "get togethers" with other demonstrators is that you always learn something new.  I was privileged to make 3 wonderful make and takes.  One of them was this awesome technique that I haven't done before, it's simple and yet so beautiful.  I hope the image is clear to you, if not you need to try this at home and please forward me your card and comments.

Technique of the week:  Painting with embossing technique

Embossed Painting is a technique that allows you to combine 3 or more of your favorite colors in one embossed image.

1.  First put your 3 colors of embossing powder in 3 separate small containers.

2.  Run embossing buddy on the cardstock you are going to stamp

3.  Stamp an image on cardstock using VersaMark Ink pad.

4.  Sprinkle each color of emboss powder over the image, one at a time.

5.  Add a little sampler of each of the embossing powder in different containers.

6.  Start with the color you want to show most and sprinkle. Cover only a small part of the image with your first color then move on to the next color until the entire image is colored!

7.  Heat set!

Voila! an elegant card, imagine this technique to create masculine cards!  I am always trying to find cool techniques for masculine cards.  I will sure try this one out!

Sponging Presto Paper technique

Last week on technique Tuesday, I mentionned I would do the second technique with the Presto Patterns Specialty designer paper and sponge.  It's very simple and doesn't need lots of explanation.

1.  Cut your Presto Patterns paper

2.  Use coordination classic ink and a sponge

3.  In a circular motion apply ink to your presto patterns paper

4.  Add ink until your image is the desired color of your choice.

Keep in mind, you can apply darker shades or softer shades or even a combination of more than one color!

How simple was that?  What a great hostess gift if you create 4 cards with matching envelops and add them in a cute decorated cello bag.

Supplies used for this card:

Stamp set:   Oval all #113790

Cardstock: Whisper white #100730, Marina Mist #119682 & Presto Patterns Specialty designer Paper #117175

Ink:  Marina Mist #119668

Accessories: 5/8" whisper white satin ribbon #114616

Tools:  Sponge #101610, 1 3/4"x 7/8" oval large punch #119855, scallop oval extra-large punch #119856

Fall colors for my VIP online shoppers

I have been neglecting to post, so sorry.  Remember last week I said I was working on something big.  Well this past Friday, I surprised my husband with his 40th birthday bash.  His birthday is only in December but for a few reasons I did it September 3rd.  My in-laws travel and would not be around, we have our staff Christmas parties at that time, in November and December.  Last but not least I wanted to get him good!  GOTCHA babe!  My husband loves big gatherings so I invited family, friends and staff.  That was the best part for him, when he got to the boat and saw all the people that touches his life in different ways, from employees, to friends he had not seen in a long time to family!  Before posting my project for the day, I will be showing you a few highlights.

All of our Family, Friends and staff.  The played a Rocky music while Tony was walking to the boat and everyone cheered Tony, Tony, Tony…  What an evening!

Anthony is a huge Star Wars fan,  I have my stampin studio, he has his star wars studio and my kids have their own craft room!  Everyone is happy at home!  My gift to him was a R2D2 cake made from friends of our Mario and Chantal.  Here is a pic for you and yes we did cut the cake and ate it.  It was delicious!

Where did he get me? At the end of the evening he said:  My real birthday is only in December, yes I get another party! lol
