Creative Escape Sneak Peek #3

It's been a great productive week.  The more I create, more ideas keep flowing.  I love it.  Our Creative Escape retreat is in exactly two weeks.  I have accomplished lots and still have more to do.  I can't wait to share with you after the retreat.  If you aren't attending this one, I hope you can just us next time.

A few days back I had posted my first Sneak Peek of one of the classes I was offering at our Creative Escape Retreat.  It was a Fall Wow scrapbook.  You can view it HERE.  I have given my guest the option to do the Fall version or a Holiday Version.  Here is my share of my Holiday Wow tag scrapbook.  I can't wait to add more than 24 Family Pictures in this album.

Hello Doily Christmas Card

I love background stamps.  They make a card so beautiful and you don't really need to add much to a project.  When I saw the Hello, Doily background stamp set I was over the moon.  A stamp set like Hello, Doily speaks for itself.  Last night at my Christmas class one of my guest made a beautiful page with it.  It wasn't a Christmas Page but it inspired me to make a card for today's share.  I love how this stamp is so versatile, from simply elegant to holiday projects, this baby is a must in your stamp space.  You probably can't see very well but this card is 5×5, therefore it is a large stamp set.

I used the scallop square die with the Frostwood lodge designer paper.  Another great die to use with your big shot.  And you can get your own big shot or 125$ of free products when you sign up as a demonstrator.   Ask me how or join HERE.

If you are recreating a 5 x 5 card, don't forget the Medium Square envelopes #107289

Creative Escape Sneak Peek Class 2

Let the countdown begin.  In 16 days, Marlayne and I are hosting our 3rd Creative Escape Retreat.  We host in Spring and Fall.  I get especially excited in the Fall because I get to make Holiday projects for our guests.  I am honored to host 2 classes at the retreat.  The first one was my Fall Wow scrapbook which you can view HERE and now you get a sneak peek of the second class.

I have always wanted to make an Advent calendar and didn't know where to start.  This year I am amazed that Stampin up! came up with products in the Holiday Mini to make one.  The Stamp set 25 & Counting or in french J-25 and the new Peekaboo Frame Bigz Die are the perfect and easy way to create one.  I could not pass up this opportunity:)  I was going to make it on a canvas so my guests could make one at a reasonable price.  But then Stampin up! came up with great products on the clearance rack, which included the Chunky Frame.  It's been one of my favorite products and I was sad when stampin up retired the frame.  So now that it's back for limited quantities and at a cheap price, I jumped on the occasion.  And suddenly I thought to myself, I will use the chunky frame to make my advent calendar.

And voila! the outcome:

I loved how easy it was to create the opening frames, the peekaboo Frame Bigz L die was perfect for that.  And now until the end of October, Stampin up has offered the Big Shot for FREE or 125$ of FREE product, when you join my family of demonstrators in October.  Learn how to get this sweet deal HERE

The chunky frames are great to work with because you can add any designer paper to decorate the frame.  It's simple you just cut your paper and glue it to the frame.   I used Frostwood Lodge Designer Paper.

I am truly grateful of this beauty and will display it every year during the Holidays.  I especially love Day 25, which is our family picture and wishes Happy Holidays.

You can view or purchase the Chunky Frame on my clearance rack by clicking HERE and selecting clearance rack on the left.  This item has limited quantities and you might want to get one asap.

If you are attending our Creative Escape Retreat then this is a class you don't want to miss, email me.

Halloween Treat Idea #2

Published by under Halloween,Halloween treats

Sometimes we plan things and they don't work out as we planned!  For instance, I went hunting for cute treats for Halloween.  They were chocolate witches on a stick.  And I thought to myself these are just perfect for the girls.  I will create tags for the girls and give it to them on Halloween with the rest of the treats.  Well I had a little mouse that went into my stash and took the three witches.  What is wrong with this picture below?  I now have 3 ghosts that don't really match the cute tags that I made.  My little mouse Jordan found the stash and thankfully didn't eat them all.  She did share with her sisters but left mom without witch goodies for my project.  I am laughing about it today.  That little Jordan of mine! She is quite the number.   Last night, we were having dinner as a family and I asked Jordan, so how was your play date with Ella today?  And as I am asking her this and looking at her, I see that she is missing a chunk of hair on her right side.  When I say chunk, believe me it's true.  I asked her, Jordan did you cut your hair?  She said no without looking at me in the eyes and making her "Jordan Grin", the one that you know is not a good sign of a grin.  Well after 10 minutes of negotiating, she said that her and Ella had cut their hair.  Yep just like that, for fun!  Seriously!  I never experience this with my two oldest girls.  This little one is making me live all kind of things and she is only 6!  It did make me reflect how the 3 girls are so different, even though we raised them the same.  I don't know if it's like that in your home, but it's like that in mine.  Sometimes I wonder why?  The best part about having them all so different is that I can find different qualities in all of them, and it makes me so proud to be their mom.  So take a little pick at my witches/ghosts treats and a pic at Jordan the guilty treat eater.

How simple, sometimes, I forget to go back to the basics. I colored my cute Jordan witch with my watercolor pencils #101879 and blended the coloring with the blender pens #102845. Even kids can do this.

You can view my Halloween Treat #1:  HERE

Doesn't she look guilty?

I used the stamp set Out on a limb from the Holiday Mini catalog. It made me think of Jordan and I love this stamp because it includes lots of mini stamps that I can punch out for treats.

Oh! I didn't want to forget but before you place your order on my online site, don't forget to check the clearance rack, stampin'up added lot's of cool products for a cheap price.

Follow up on my birthday organizer

Ok this is the last time you will read about my birthday calendar.  I intended to post last night but we finished a little bit late:)  I am overwhelmed by your response to add your name to my birthday organizer and let me tell you, I need to start making the cards this weekend, as I do have birthday cards to send out on Monday, so it can hopefully make it on time for your early birthdays.  But I did want to share with you a few of my favorite months.  I used stamps sets that were dear to me and also that coordinated with the months.  Some we added ribbon, designer paper and other embellishments.  I guess my favorites were the simple ones.  I don't know why because normally I don't do good with simple.

March's Featured stamp set: Forever Young #122570 (w) #122572(c)

April's Featured Stamp set:  Up, Up & Away #122755(w) #122757(c)

June's Featured Stamp set:  The Open Sea #123030(w) #123032(c)

July, my birthday month's Featured stamp set: Creative Elements #122645(w) #122647(c)

And November's Featured stamp set:  Gently Falling #123802 (w) #123804(c)

You can view my cover album:  HERE and HERE

Class to go is also available but does not include shipping, shipping cost is additional. Available in English or Français.

I should have posted them last night but again, we did finish a little late and I did need to recharge my batteries on my camera.  It would have been a great night to post as I did not go to bed until 1h30 am.  Why?  Because my hostess brought lots of treats and we attacked them all like children that had never eaten candy before.  Note to self, do not eat the candy!  It got me so hyper!

On a side note, I did receive your requests for the Christmas in September pdf and there are two ways for your to get my class:

Send me your birthdate

Published by under birthday calendar,Class

When I read my post about the birthday calendar organizer, I forgot to add an important note.  If you are part of my team of demonstrators, the cupcake cuties, or a customer of mine that purchases on line or that comes to my studio, or I have been in your home or even a customer or demonstrator that comes to my events, can you please forward me your birth date (day and month) would be great.  Then this would permit me to fill up my calendar for the year and start working on the cards to send to you.  Included will be a special offer that you won't want to miss on your birth date.  I will post tonight a few of my favorite months, for you to see, how wonderful it is.

If you don't know what I am taking about, you can read more of yesterday's post HERE.  This post follows yesterday's post.

Birthday Organizer

I am so excited to share my first of top 10 gift ideas for the holidays.  A hand made gift is a gift that comes from the heart.  I love to shower gifts to people that have touch me one way or another.  Plus, I was looking for a way to organize birthday's for people that are special to me.  I finally found a concept that is great to organize birthday's.  Seriously it was in our Stampin'up! Catalog on p.181.  It's the birthday Calendar available in english or en francais, Calendrier des anniversaires.  Of course mine is decorated with the beau chateau designer paper to match my studio.  But guests will be able to decorate it in the designer paper of their choice.  I will use 4 different stampin'write markers to register my special birth dates.  Marina mist for demonstrators on my team, Soft Suede for my customers, Early Espresso for family and pretty in pink for special people that have touch me one way or another.  So at the end of every month, I will look at the next month coming and if there are 6 birthdays during that month.  I will stamp my birthday cards and organize them to mail out.  Behind every month will be a pocket holder to place my cards awaiting for postage.

This album includes the 12 months and measures 5 1/2" x 14"

Tomorrow night a couple of guests are coming to decorate this wonderful calendar.  I still have 3 spots left so you can join us if you want.  Demonstrators are welcome too:)
Can't Make it, book your own party and let's get together to make this great holiday gift idea with your girlfriends.

Class includes:  Birthday Calendar, assorted designer paper, assorted ribbon and other embellishments.

When: September 29th at 19h30 pm

Where: Kim's studio

Cost:  25$ or 1/2 price with a 50$ order or FREE with a 75$ order

RSVP:  to save your spot, 3 spots left

Class to go is also available but does not include shipping, shipping cost is additional.

Creative Escape Sneak Peek Class 1

In less than one month, we will be hosting our Fall Creative Escape Retreat.  I am so excited to share with you one of my classes for our Retreat.  Here is a Sneak Peek.  It's a Wow Album.  Not because of the outside but because of the inside.  I'm not completely done but will share a little today, since my facebook buddies Tammy and Jo-Ann wanted to see it.  If you are interested in attending our retreat, we have 20 open spots.  Our retreat is sold out for guests who are spending the 2 nights but Marlayne and I have opened 20 extra spots for non-sleeping guests.  Email me if you are interested.

I am also doing the same album but with the Christmas theme, so guests who attend the retreat will have 2 options to choose from.  Fall or Holidays, it will be a difficult choice!

Here is the inside:  I still need to add my pictures and my embellishment to make it Kim's Style!

If you are attending our retreat, you will get complete details of this class via email. Have a great evening, I'm off to finish my album:)

Ice Cream Social Club

Megan has been asking me for a kids scrapbooking class for the longest time.  Today was our first class and let me tell you we had full house in the studio.  Megan did most of the cutting, punching pieces out and assembling the kits.  She wanted to take charge.  She called a few friends and had a full table of her own to teach them while I helped out at the other two tables.  She is truly inspiring and for sure a future demonstrator.  She has all the qualities:  she placed calls to invite her guests and had 7 just by herself.  That's pretty exciting.

We made a card and magnetic book mark to encourage the girls to read Stampin'up! Style, we also made a mini scrapbook album, played bingo and finished the day with ice cream.

Here are our projects.  The card was a swap from convention and I love how I could make a book mark out of it.

Here is the inside of the mini album.

Bingo stamp #120851 is a hit.  Today we used itty bitty bits to stamp on the inside.  Next month we will be using Spooky Bingo bits.

Kids from 6 to 12 came to our Ice Cream Social Club and they were all capable of making the projects.  Bingo was a hit! and they love Memento mall prizes:)

If you know a child that would love to scrapbook, email me as next month is our Halloween Ice Cream Social.  Come with your Halloween Costume, play fun games and make Halloween projects.  Details below:
